thought the same, he killed dirk didnt he. The obsession with Charlie is already weird. Wonder is he connected to becca or maybe Justin or something? Isn’t dom Tony’s brother is real life also?

I wondered if it was something to do with county lines? But good thinking could be something to do with Justin or Becca

Aw I loved Dom! He was marrying Tina McQueen and she got killed by Myras estranged son Niall, am I right there? I miss the McQueens! They’re nothing like they used to be, I want Jacqui and Carmel back!

yep! the original mcqueen era, with the original four sisters and john-paul was 🔥👌🏻🔥

also i will forever say that the john-paul/craig storyline was the best coming out storyline on any soap ever. i’m still mad john-paul came back and so ruined their happy ending. the glorious hungover sunday T4 omnibus days!

it used to be so good and would do storylines the other soaps would stay away from. i will sometimes catch the odd ten minutes of it here and there and it’s just so bad now. but it does make me nostalgic to see some of the old cast still there!

And around the same time was Clare manipulating and poising Max, Warren and Clare’s battle over The Loft, Hannah’s anorexia, Becca getting stabbed in prison, the battle over baby Charlie, who pushed Clare? All gripping
 
I liked around the time when Mel & Sophie the twins were in it and the fire in the dog! I was only young when that happened though

the best was Craig, John Paul, Sarah and Hannah storylines. I loved the anorexia storyline and the Craig/JP storyline

also the Hollyoaks later storylines! When Sarah died after the parachutes got switched!! So good, Hollyoaks now could never!!

yes to all of these! i also was really into the justin and becca storyline (which was very intense for an early evening soap!)

like others have said, it was at its best when it balanced out the students in halls with the actual village, and when it leaned into being slightly ott. it was entertaining because they always took their storylines a level up from what the other soaps would have tried. the tone of it is all over the place atm and it’s just boring (which is a thing i never thought i would say about hollyoaks!)
 
An old story I always remember was Darren having the affair with his then wife's mother and having twins, Jack and Francine. 2 children the scriptwriters keep forgetting about.

Also what happened to Myra Pocahontas? Teresa only seems to have Kathleen Angel.

He died in the bus crash didn’t he? I loved that storyline. And when the door fell on Maddie’s head!
