So based on the comment they definitely can't be back together. I'm thinking he thought he would be able to talk her round without really making much effort and now he's realized that she's been serious he's now trying to show a different side with the reels he's sharing.
I think had he just committed to his family and partner making an effort to spend quality time with them and not acting like a single 18 year old he wouldn't have found himself in this situation.

I know we don't get to see behind closed doors, but I thought he'd try and make it up to her. Like he's clearly done in the past, theres always been rumours. And he'd stop the wanna be 18 again lifestyle he has. But all he's done is go running to casey and marnie. Shows the immature person he is. Wonder how many people he's been with since they split. Bet it makes Helen feel worthless. And she's still in the house with him.

It’s chets house and it’s chets mortgage , he signed the papers and posted the story . Said at the time it was all for ocean and creating a home for her . When he rented before the house was ready , egg was trying to be the next mrs hinch showing how to paint a cupboard

That was the first house he had in Manchester he showed himself signing the papers, he could have Ellun down as working for him so she could have a income for them to get a bigger mortgage for the current house they are in
