I think that why they put out the news about the Harkles early to get it over with in case Philip passes. Nothing to do with Oprah etc. The decision had already been made so no point delaying when there might be other things to occupy the royal family.

You could well be right. It makes the Harkles statement seem even more despicable if that's the case.
 
I personally don't think the rest of the world is aware of how cunning, malicious, and MALIGNANT the Harkles are. Everything from what they do, say and how they carry themselves is deplorable. The rest of the world only see the PR tit they put out, ensuring they get the last words. I doubt scabies or the sugar cult will even come to senses even if PP passes... they all have ZERO compassion or empathy. All the Harkles have is empty house and empty lives.

That is how Narcs operate no one "outside" realise what they are like. We are lucky that due to her mistakes etc more and more people are becoming aware.

I don't understand why anyone would be upset for Charles visiting his father?

Not to be morbid, but if PP is on his deathbed, then does COVID matter? Please don't take that wrong, I'm not trying to be insensitive or disrespectful. I just mean, if you are about to expire from something else...?

And wouldn't he be in a private wing? And hasn't everyone been lockdowned this entire time anyway? I mean that it isn't like Charles has been out and about shaking hands and cutting ribbons.

Or am I completely wrong? I don't follow restrictions in other countries so I'm genuinely asking. If everyone has been lockdowned and grandpa is about to pass, why shouldn't at least his children and grandchildren be allowed to all trickle in and say goodbye? Especially if he is in a private wing?

What is the difference in the nurses & doctors who presumably go home to their families every night being around PP, but not his own family? Could everyone be given PPE, or is there a shortage?

Again, genuinely asking. Also, please don't think I mean any disrespect to anyone who has lost someone from COVID or struggled in any way over the past year. I don't understand why family would be denied saying goodbye to Grandpa if it could be done in a safe way for everyone involved.

JCMH would really be the only one that would be questionable in my mind. Sorry for being a bit off topic & if there are nuances I'm not understanding.
 
Earlier this year, so many people couldn't visit loved ones in hospital and that sort of thing sticks in the memory. People might not even realise that there is an allowance for end of life. And officially Philip is ill, not gravely ill, and therefore no visit would be allowed. So there's a gap between what we've been told officially, and a family visit being allowed.

COVID rules say 10 day self-isolation on arrival. Doesn't matter which country of origin, but that can be at home unless a 'red country' which requires a hotel.

Harry would need a negative COVID test to board a plane (USA requires this I understand), so self-isolating in the USA would allow him to pass a test and fly. Makes zero difference to the rules on arrival. (There's a 'test to release' scheme after 6 days which he could use).

Many hospitals are restricting visitors even at end of life, my friends father passed yesterday but no one was allowed to be with him due to him the fear that he caught Covid in hospital.

Hospitals are also trying to restrict the number of people going in and out, ppe is given to any visitors who are allowed in, no shortage that I've heard reported lately.

Given the logistics and timings they wouldn't want a continuous trickle of visitors either as it would be too disruptive to the hospital (each visitor would be escorted through the building, introduced to the head of ward staff, doctors etc).

I also think that Phillip would want the minimum of fuss, so it's unlikely there will be many visitors.

Wasn't their suspicion that Anne may have Covid earlier this week? If so she wouldn't be allowed to visit, I can't see Andrew showing his face, so that would leave Charles and Edward. We may see Edward visting on another day.

Hopefully we will see him walking out in a few days giving a brisk wave to the waiting press.

In Covid times they probably can't have the medical staff into Windsor to give end of life care or treatment. The Queen is in a bubble and protecting the Queen is probably more important.

Also, at the time when he went into hospital, Philip walked in so they probably decided hospital was the best place for him to be for any treatment at that time. They may not have been thinking end of life at the time.

From what I can see when I ventured there it's because people think Prince Philip is going to be fine and riding a horse next week and his son just travelled out of area a Saturday afternoon to have a jolly chin wag and a glass of whiskey with him for no other reason than he felt like it, even though plebs aren't allowed to do the same to their relatives in hospital. Special treatment in a country fed up of the isolation from loved ones.

The idea that he's possibly on his death bed or about to have treatment that he many not survive or have to make decisions about potential end of life care and wants his son to help him make them (all of which is allowed) doesn't seem to have occurred to many of them or they're purposefully ignoring it.

Or they just don't care and want to stick it to the meanies like Scobie.

I know the family haven't said he's out of time but surely we can start reading between the lines with all this going on. If he's fine in a week's time then start complaining that Charles was allowed but Mabel from down the road wasn't.

I lost a relative in January and her family were allowed to say goodbye and a relative late last year and ditto. I know someone who is in the hospital with Covid after effects and has been allowed a visit once.

A dear friend of mine's elderly father has been getting more ill over the last few months. Her sister who lives much closer to him, was just allowed to visit him in hospital today after his condition deteriorated sharply overnight. We're seeing that as a worrying sign.

That's what gets me. I want there to be a epic, wide exposure to show how evil they are and the true villains.
