Just saw these paragraphs in the Mail's story about Princess Eugenie

Princess Eugenie won't accept a royal title for her baby if offered by the Queen because it is a 'curse' and she wants her child to have an 'ordinary life', a family friend told Vanity Fair in September.

A family friend of the couple revealed several months ago that titles 'don't matter' to the couple, who will raise the child at their home of Kensington Palace, and said they just want 'a happy healthy child.'

Speaking to Vanity Fair's Katie Nicholl, the source revealed: 'Eugenie knows that a title can be a curse as well as a blessing and she and Jack want their child to live an ordinary life and eventually work to earn a living.'

Sources also revealed the couple will choose an 'ordinary' name for their first born.

According to the regulations of the House of Windsor, Eugenie's baby will not automatically be entitled to the HRH styling, which only extends to grandchildren of the monarch.

The source said even if the Queen offered a title as a gift, it was 'not Eugenie or Jack’s desire; for their child to have a title.

I also noticed that the Mail have written about Surrey hospital Frimley Park and included a picture, as a hospital that Megz was 'considering' and all of a sudden I'm thinking what did they mean by bringing that up again...

Extended stays The Portland can rack up bills of £1,800 a night, a far cry from Frimley Park NHS Hospital in Surrey where Meghan and Harry were rumoured to have gone if her hopes of a home birth were dashed.

Hahaha! I had one of them. Freda kindly ended the discussion saying we should agree to disagree and she would step back. I think she could hear the desperation in my posts. I was feeling rather Rottweiler-y.

Scotchy honey, African people of colour would regard her as white. Not a doubt in my mind on that score. They would probably be very clear on that too. She can get away with her playing the race card when it suits her in Murica, but among those she claims to champion and belong to she will be just another priveleged white person playing lady of the manor among them.

If Meghan is speaking the truth and the Palace dictated that she gets her Christian names removed from Archie's birth certificate, does that mean that Rachel Meghan HRH The Duchess of Sussex is no longer recognised as the lawful mother of baby Archie? It seems to me the birth certificate states that a woman enrolled at the Portland Hospital as HRH the Duchess of Sussex gave birth to Archie and I can only infer that Meghan's claims the Palace forced her to remove her names implied they realised the woman and Meghan were not the same person. Is that a reasonable assumption to make?

(One thing I caught. Lady C said that the names were removed six weeks after the birth. ETA She might have just mis-spoken but the second birth certificate, of which we've only seen a tiny portion, mentions changes dating from 5 June)

Yes I agree with you totally on that one. That's why I thought it was a bit misguided of the Queen or the palace to think otherwise.
Frankly they should be appointing the best person for the job irrespective of colour anyway!

I also remember that Bookworm 2 who is South African said in one of her videos that the tour that they did in Aifrica wasn't the great success that was reported in the media at the time, and that they had to round up people to cheer for them because in reality nobody was that bothered about seeing them.

She then goes on to say the question of 'will the Palace respond officially' is not the same as 'will the Palace respond'. She thinks BP won't comment unless their hand is forced in a major way.
 
Wouldn’t you feel a bit let down as a person/country expecting a Royal visit to get those two? The Queen (who doesn’t travel any more) obviously the most requested, the next King, feels pretty important, the soon to be king after that, also a good shout, but the soon to be Kings other son and his American wife? There is a reason they are known as the spare. It’s Andrew and Edward all over again, Edward married Sophie who seems to have knocked some sense onto him. Andrew continued to be delusional until
his social activities caught up with him.

Does Princess Anne do Royal tours, feels like it should be the main bods who represent abroad.

I have to agree with Lady C. I wouldn't respond to it unless someone had irrefutable proof that the doll was from a surrogate. There would be no reason otherwise.

If I saw Hazzno and Megz coming up the road I would bar the doors and tell them we'd all come down with the flu, thanks but no thanks, some other time maybe. We'll have our people call your people. I don't have any people but they don't know that.

On another note I have got to stop thinking "Minge" every time I think of her. At some point I will be discussing her in public and I will say "Minge" without thinking about it and it is going to get me in trouble!

They do.

I am as white as MM and a lot of people stop and stare at me in the street when I am in Dakar. Once I was held at gunpoint in a seperate room for a couple of hours at the airport because I have a Senegalese name but a German passport. It is totally baffling as Dakar is a really big city and lots of folk have studied or lived abroad. But for most I am some kind of weird carnival attraction being so very white and without African features (I have a 'white' nose).

On topic. Ah right, so granny took back her military titles and forewarned him, so he's spinning it that he retired himself from them.
Maybe she asked him to pack up his dress up uniforms and fedex them back to her. Smeggy can help with that, she's an old hand at ending things via fedex. We suspected she'd made some sort of move. The vitriol from montecito has ramped up this past while back so it was kind of obvious. If he had genuinely made the decision to retire off his own bat then he wouldn't have been getting his PR people and kiss-arse bottom feeding pet 'reporters' to wibble on about how he was gonna fight to keep the appointments and about how much they mean to him. Have some pride hazza ffs! Mortified for him🤭. Again, not really, he's a bleep.:m:m:m
