I feel vapid posting this now but in case it detracts, I've just seen this on the BBC website:

Michelle Obama is to star alongside puppets in a Netflix show that aims to teach children the joys of home cooking over eating ready meals.
Mrs Obama will play a supermarket owner opposite Waffles and Mochi, who are from The Land of Frozen Food.
The former US first lady described the series, which is titled Waffles + Mochi and drops next month, as a "hilarious, heartwarming, and simply magical show".
She and husband Barack are among the executive producers.

Oh no. I hope we don't seem something similar coming from Markle and Debacle. Can you imagine what might ensue if that hapless pair tried to teach little 'uns how to roast a chicken?

I find this thread a welcome and brilliant distraction from the shitiness of life right now. I often save it to read in bed at the end of the day.
It’s so distracting. And great that we are bonded by frustration and contempt for The Grifters. Nothing like mutual dislike to bring people together. 👍🏻

Too bliddy late - the Obamas own it and have helped produce it. I love them - I can see her being very engaging - I hope Barack pops in - he has a great dry sense of humour.

Illiterate munchkins. They seem confused about their goddess's sex, saying she wrote to "his dad".
Hazzno's copying Minge's nasal Cali twang and saying cool things like awesome and you guys, wanna, gonna. Reminds me of "he bears the imprint of the last person to sit on him".
Hazzno's never been a real anything. Cheeky chappie prince, pilot with no licence protected by Gurkhas, soldier with unearned medals, faux eco-warrior, faux victim, oddball father (?) and now a sort of budget Ginger Rasta.
He's got no personality and no deeply-held views on anything. He's a reflection of whoever he's with, and is suffering an identity crisis so is mimicking Minge.
I think the Cheeky Chappie Prince was his most convincing role, when he copied the Hooray Henrys, shot hen-harriers and admired the stock-exchange swinging d ...k culture of braying venture capitalists. (Just threw that in for fun).
What's next? Low pants round his knees exposing builder's bum? A dreadlocks wig and Rastacap stuffed with kapok?

I cannot with the bs.... you stay for a week. That is portland. It is US owned which may have been why mgsy opted there as they would have ndas that would apply across the atlantic

I think it was more tied to Haznoballs wish to live in Africa and that they tried to find them a dignity preserving post Duke of Windsor like but one where the dimwit couldn't do much harm. Which excludes most of the Commonwealth nations. .

Thank you for pointing this out! It is true and (most) POCs don't do this on purpose.

Yet I do think MM is shamelessly exploiting this. Look at the zoom stills. The one for CNN - white MM. The one for BLM poetry - darker MM. She is the daugther of a lighning director and she knows how to play this.




More likely she thought it a good place for the surrogate to give birth at.

I never made the connection between her father being a lighting director and her maybe manipulating the lighting at these events. That's a brilliant catch!
 
I did wonder ... IF M really did carry Archie - whether she stayed well away from the Queen's obstetric team because there were aspects of her medical history she wanted to keep secret.

Now doctors should maintain complete confidentiality - but maybe she was afraid that certain facts might get out which contradicted what she had led the RF to believe?

He's a shape-shifter who's 'soft in the head', as Lady C keeps telling us, which makes him a useful idiot if he hangs around with shadey grifters. Very dangerous combination. The hard-partying Army captain hanging out in Mahiki until the small hours was probably authentic Hazza, as far as it goes. I don't know who he is these days and suspect neither does he.

Omid Scobie knew on his last podcast (recorded Friday I think) that the judgment was coming this week and he made a comment about how expensive litigation can be. Did that mean anything? Not sure. But Megz has had her Twitter bots out screaming about stuff all week so she's angry about something...

Beginning to suspect strongly the second birth certificate does not state Portland as place of birth - for Archie. I don't get why the Times are insisting Eugenie and Jack will be at Frogmore. Unless it's just the plain truth.
 
I don’t know how I ended up the mailing list (not in London and unlikely to go private) but when I was in early pregnancy I got a Portland catalogue in the post. Looks v nice, eye watering prices. The main thing I noticed about it was the lovely rooms and privacy etc and they do expect you to stay longer.

I admit that I don’t read all the magazines and scour the internet for them but how much do we know about the Cambridge kids really? We see pictures on special days and birthdays and occasional posts like the Attenborough thing - Charlotte likes spiders 🕷- I do not. Same with Zara’s. They didn’t have to do all of this secret squirrel stuff to maintain privacy. It has made the speculation so much worse than if they had done the same as them and had a better relationship with the press.

Most people aren't interested in the sprog per se. I know I am not and neither is my mom. I never thought all babies are cute and I am not keen to know if and when someones offspring poop, burbs or starts talking. Unless they are funny, but toddlers seldom are.

People were interested in seeing Haznoballs with the little oddeyed fella, because he really wanted to have kids and people wanted him to be happy.

Now I can't see anyone loosing sleep over whether or not he is happy. He has deceived and dissapointed too many of us for anyone to care any longer.

If Archie wasn't her first pregnancy. She would need to make her previous records available for safety's sake, and in any case the docs would be able to tell.

That's because English isn't the writer's first language. In other languages the possessive adjective (his/hers) takes the gender of the noun/person it's referring to (the father).
