Undercover with the Harkles. It's going well out here in Montecito..... I've been promoted from butt plug to Archies Nanny and now I am scaling the heights as the Harkles new stylist... I can only say that they're very hard to please...... but I'm working on styling them up for the red carpet 😉

I'm going to be setting up Scotch's Mirror 🤪
So all suggestions for styling the Harkles will be gratefully considered.

Having the medals sent out to him in advance suggests a lot of planning.

Apparently the coat was custom-made, so must have been ordered a while ago, but maybe at that time the Harkles thought they could bully their way into the Cenotaph event?

Agree, there is something odd about those 2 photos, the shadow is wrong, and his arm in this position would cover a bit of the top of the ribbons, but it doesn't...weird.
I suspect the plan was to turn up at the Cenotaph, but Covid and the 'men in grey suits' put stop to that. Her outfit is not made for California weather and grass lawns...

My other half said this at seeing the photo - bit weird to wear your medals at a 'private' event! Unless it was all for publicity, eh Harry lad?

The medals look the real deal though, I don't agree with the speculation about them (and he was stripped of the right to wear uniform if I remember correctly, although if it was a 'private' event...). They're in the right place, they're mounted. He's got Afghan and Queen's Gold and Diamond. Colour does look a bit odd on the reds of the Afghan and Diamond though - brightened or just the sun?

Thanks! They are mounted, they are the right ones but they still look odd to me here (ETA maybe I just need another coffee :coffee:) Either photoshopped in or maybe just brightened up so we all notice what a brave soldier Hero Harry is. Why would Hazza not wear his KCVO though?
 
Look - she is back to clinging to him again. She hasn't been doing that recently in any of the video's.

Why grasp onto him? Is he a flight risk?

She knows all of the gates and doors are locked at home so he can't get out.

Although I don't think she needs to bother, he doesn't look like he could run 10 yards away, he looks so ill.
 
yea found an old pic here of Harry and his medals. They do look like they're fully mounted together and not "floppy doppy" at all. So I think we can let him off that one.

The KCVO seems to only come in a neck version or suspended below the neck which would definitely look weird with a lounge suit (and is possibly not allowed anyway) so I should imagine that's why it's not on display at the cemetery shindig, rather than having been taken off him.

I think he has been? Or he’d wear it surely!?? “Medals” would include his KCVO And ive checked he’s worn it before with civvi suit, so it’s not for that reason....I think he has. It could be it came with his roles, but that isn’t really how Awards and Honours work - even the family ones....🤯 I’m going with it’s been stripped or at the very least he’s been told it’s inappropriate to wear it if he’s not working for the Royals. I said on the last thread though - the jubilee was also gifted (2002 silver) and he wasn’t entitled to that through service so given to him as well, but he’s still wearing that on....🤔

You can definitely wear them with a suit - it’s just classed as a medal, so if you have one (like an MC or other gallantry award) you’d wear that alongside your medals even in a suit....it’s interesting to say the least.

edited to correct myself- OBE/MBE is a medal like a campaign medal but something like MC I think you wear on your neck. - Sorry I erased much of this from memory on leaving 🤣🤣🤣 I’ll check....

Hadn't even clicked that! Is it the golden jubilee that's gifted? He can't have been active in 2002 so it must be... What a bloody idiot. As if the headlines of reflecting on his 'service' weren't enough... 🤬

I had a good google for him wearing the KCVO with a regular suit but couldn't find a pic. Lots of him wearing it round his neck with various military uniforms.

(I'm not doubting anyone, just saying I could not find a pic of him doing it).
