Enter the vicious, malicious mother-in-law, who has not only conspired with a particular social worker, (using means and methods charitably described as barely legal, which will be the subject of a formal complaint) to get the kids took off me. But is now inventing diagnoses of mental illness on one of the children based on their unwillingness to eat carrots.

BIB - she was reasonably pretty at her best, but to be a big female star in Hollywood you need a wow factor, and she’s never had that. But she’s not even reasonably pretty now. Her skin is awful, her teeth are like tombstones, her nose is a cock and her hair is like rats tails. Also she radiates crazy. These days the best she can manage is an urgh factor.

What a witch. Have you got anyone supporting you? You could try contacting your local Councillor and ask them to contact Social Services on your behalf. As a Councillor, they should respond to them sharpish x

ETA I’m assuming the one with the mental illness is her son and the last thing your children need is to be taken away from their one stable parent.

The funny thing is OH and me are getting on better than we have done in years.

The other funny thing is since I've got a solicitor advising me, and I've been emailing OH what the solicitor has been telling me...
Well let's put it this way, the way events have played out, it would be highly improbable for them to have played out in the way they have if someone didn't have access to OH's email account.

As for our child's supposed mental illness - in the space of three weeks the poor kid has had to deal with OH running off, money worries, OH being found and choosing to stay lost, OH being found near dead, OH seriously ill in hospital, being hauled off by the police, to a town they don't know, where they know no-one, staying with psycho mother in law who has decided to put them on a low sugar diet, as part of an ongoing vendetta against OH and I, and how terrible we are as parents... it's enough to make anyone a bit crazy.

Still, it could be worse... I could be selling tarted up versions of a dull life to People Magazine.

Hopefully you can get help to get them back.
Have you got any family or friends that can help you.
Surely husband taking off and not supporting you goes against him.
