This is why the then Prince Charles waited until his grandmother died to marry Camilla. The Queen Mum didn’t want to retire to a quiet life after the King died and there are authors who believe she deliberately mollycoddled Charles to ensure she had the ear of the future monarch. I know his parents were away with royal duties but QM didn’t do this with any of her other grandchildren. Winston Churchill, when he was Prime Minister would get annoyed with King George VI when he would ask for instructions and KG VI would say I will have to think this over as he knew what it really meant was I’ll have to ask my wife what she thinks.

Lady Glenconner is who was engaged to Earl Spencer! By coincidence I listened to a podcast about her just this morning on my way to work! Her husband owned the island of Mustique and gifted Princess Margaret her house there. She was one of HMTLQ’s attendants at her coronation and was a Lady in Waiting to PM.

She has said of Meghan “We all predicted she wouldn’t last more than 3 years” because she thought being married into the RF would be all riding in golden coaches and not work. She’s still alive and quite outspoken.


ETA: I’m pretty sure Ashley left because they aren’t paying her enough. I don’t think I would hire anyone who did PR for the Grusomes…she hasn’t done a great job of it

Diana was pretty much a free agent by the time Dodi came along. I liked her, but also was able to see her faults. She was a lost soul on a mission to find her ideology of love.

Ashley "paid" for her freedom to move on with an endorsement. And the funny thing is she did it in a way that we all knew she was lying, because she over did it. Of course the ILBW couldn't tell how odd those quotes were, as she has no idea what a kind work environment is, she has no idea how to treat people properly - she can only either love bomb them or mistreat them.

On another note, I wish the Daily Fail would stop their campaign calling Hazno a statesman on Royal Tour but still referring to Catherine as Kate Middleton it's not just rude it is becoming a sign of dumbness.
 
THR said their source was existing staff…wonder if it was Ashley and the departure deal is all about ensuring no more leaks. Bet Ashley could do a lot of damage if she talked freely. Megs is the sort to boast about getting away with lies (Oprah interview) because she’ll think it makes her look clever.
