Following on from the Paula M video with Enty Lawyer.....

re: the visa.
Might it be that having jumped ship from Canada and gone the States, effectively what happened was that the visa was granted to prevent a diplomatic embarrassment. Short deporting Harry, during COVID, there little either Britain or the US could do if he wasn't there on a valid visa. And post-COVID they fudged around the issue in the hope of letting sleeping dogs lie.

re: the tax situation.
I'm not sure if this is still the case, but some years ago there was a story about how some rich person would take a plane, fly over the North Sea and return to London every so often so as to avoid paying tax - on the basis that he wasn't in the country continuously throughout the required tax period. Enty Lawyer seemed to suggest that this was no longer the case, and that it is now cumulative throughout the tax year.

But I did wonder if these tours, and foreign excursions, are some kind of tax fiddle.

Possibly time the common people demanded reparations for what Harry and Meghan have cost us. Never mind any further back... Let's see their accounts first, and once those reparations are made, we can shift back to both their parents. I'm sure Doria's income this last few years would be VERY interesting, no?

ETA fairly sure colour of skin has nothing to do with spending ability... I'd like to see the accounts. Colour discrimination can be applied to the sums later, should it be required. (it won't be).
 
From the last thread, someone wrote (in an article) that Harry is scared of his wife, but when she's not around he's a really nice bloke.

My interpretation is that, when she's not there and he's not on drugs or been drinking, he maybe doesn't look so miserable, possibly doesn't tell porkies, and realises he's missing his royal lifestyle and popularity, so is grateful for any friends he can cling on to.
 
What I find odd about the Hollywood Reporter article, is it is part of Penske Media group.

Shawna on the Vintage Read Show pointed out months ago, at the height of the attacks on Catherine, that a lot of the stories were generated (to be picked up elsewhere) by Penske Media titles, particularly She Knows.

Catherine's video has definitely created a shift in the mood - softer, more hopeful, even if the road ahead is long and tough, because that's just how life is. No magical removal of obstacles or getting what one wants with a snap of the fingers.

To commemorate this happy mood, here's a Sweet William shaped like a butterfly (happened on its own, I didn't even know this colour had a bloom at this time). I'm feeling like this is a very nice sign.

How the DM can even print this after slagging off Catherine's video is beyond me. They've got Jan Moir and Steven Glover at it today.

I don't think I've ever seen a well-known cancer patient who's announced the end of treatment bullied like this before.

I'm hoping that this means that DM are going to blow up on the Gruesomes soon. They usually become rather sycophantic, then suddenly there's something damaging on the lovely Ho and her bit of Spare Change.

There are just three words in this article which renders it meaningless …….. ALL THINGS CONSIDERED …..

And when I tell them my honest opinion, that he is kind, funny and pretty damn normal, all things considered, I often see a flash of disappointment cloud their faces, followed quickly by words to the effect of ‘well you would say that, you know him’, as if knowing someone should disqualify you from having a trusted opinion about them.’

You can add those three words to a description of just about anybody and they make the rest meaningless ……. unless we know what we are considering about that person.

Hitler was funny and pretty damn normal, all things considered.
Putin is kind and funny, all things considered.

Now if she had written something like Hazno is ‘kind, funny and pretty damn normal considering he is high on drugs all the time’ then we would have all understood exactly where she was coming from.

Sorry but I have to comment on this article yet again …….

’last year I travelled to their new home in Montecito, to interview Harry on the eve of the publication of his book, Spare. I spent an afternoon at the house, the kids running around happily as we drank tea. Harry proudly showed me the DIY photo wall he’d recently created, featuring pictures of his mum.

When I left, packed off by the happy couple with a jar of their homemade jam (which I then left in the back of a taxi in a jet-lagged stupor; somewhere in Los Angeles, a cab driver has one of the earliest batches of American Riviera Orchard’s produce), I was reminded of the fact that they are a pretty ordinary couple existing in an absolutely extraordinary situation.’

Hands up all those pretty ordinary people/couples on here who have a DIY photo wall featuring pictures of your dead mother? 😳


ETA …. had to laugh that she left her gifted jar of jam in the back of the taxi ….. probably chucked in the first bin the taxi driver came across!
