He is no different to us. The ONLY thing that separates us it that title, which he has proved in recent years is totally wasted on him.

He had the best education the British Tax payer could afford and struggled to graduate with an art GCSE. I went to an inner city comprehensive and am better educated than him. He has no willingness to listen and learn, which is the only reason he struggled with his education and the same reason why he’s been hoodwinked by an upwardly mobile woman who married him to elevate her status and diminish his.

She's so transparent, can't hide her internal state of mind.
I reckon that she most often looks so gawky and also does that sickly simpering thing because her psyche knows that she's fundamentally an imposter and totally lacking all the knowledge, skills and training to do the public things she does. Yet her pathologically obsessive craving for attention compels her to seek the limelight. It's all a real battle.

I don't think he is still besotted - but I think he is toxically bound to her, and is just terrified of what will happen to him if she leaves because he has burned all of his bridges with his family and can barely wipe his own backside without an instruction manual*. Left to his own devices he'd just die of sheer stupidity.

I noticed that he took her hand, but I think he has been conditioned to do so - feels claw on his knee; conditioned to grasp it without thinking. Pavlov's Prince.
