What a really great initiative. I think a cancer diagnosis must be deeply upsetting for the person on the receiving end (and so many lovely Tattlers on this thread have shared their personal stories). We have all lost people to cancer and know so many others who have managed to survive it. It must be so frightening and traumatic to be diagnosed with one of the ‘bad’ ones. I’m not articulating this very well as all cancers are horrendous but I think having hope is so important and the survival rates for some forms are stark.
I think the fact they’re all at BP indicates something re Chuck.
My dad died of cancer this week. Like Charles, he was in his early 70s. It started off as prostate cancer, which they initially thought would be harmless, but it spread to other regions and the last few years were so difficult. Cockney Rebel has just died at the same age also from cancer (I know that's a weird note to end on, but I like Cockney Rebel, and the similarities to my dad strike me).
