I can't square the circle here. Chuck was diagnosed with prostate cancer and an unspecified form of cancer, and started treatment on 5th February, around the same time as Catherine's announcement.
It seems his Australian tour is likely to go ahead in October though not 100% confirmed. A long-haul tour plus CHOGM in Samoa from 21- 25 October where he'll be having the "public-facing duties" that he's avoiding every day in Windsor.

The Australian PM confirmed on 3rd March that the visit of the Monarch and his wife would include New Zealand, and BP said the travel plans are in early stages. 37 recent articles report this proposed visit.

My question is, if he has cancer x 2 why plan a gruelling tour 7 months down the line? These visits are meticulously organised, cost a lot of money, and who knows how well he will be? BP should have announced in February that with the news of his cancers the October trip would be rescheduled. How will he be whisked away in Brisbane, as we see him going off in his car for treatments here in the UK while others stand in for him?

The Australian visit was planned some time back, and he naturally wants to attend the CHOGM. It's possible his aides advised him to cancel because it looks odd but he said no.

People on this thread have shared their sad experiences. My husband died of prostate cancer not too long ago, and even in the early stages when he was less fragile I'd never have dreamed of flying with him thousands of miles and undertaking a gruelling PR tour.
Not that anybody would want to see us.
Maybe nobody will notice?

Oh Cinnamon.girl that is so sad about your Hubby.
Cancer is an evil monster.

But she put the chocolates in a bowl!

Edit - just looked again and they are still in the box - still she could have just chucked a handful on the table like what I do when holding a candle-lit supper.
Yep, it's a Fortnum's box - those chocolates are the only things I'd dare to try on that table. They're the least likely to have have been pawed by those mucky, clawky hands...

It wasn't the same day though.

The day she was spotted in the car William went to the Commonwealth service with Camilla. I think she had a hospital appointment and William dropped her at the hospital.

I think press said it was private appointment i just assumed out patient check up
Can only see side profile but she looks ok to me

Shakespeare said it first about hell and fury and in this case, hell hath no fury like a journalist shut down and police investigated. Dan can destroy them in print, television, podcast and whatever else he can think of. There will be no shutting him up. He will make sure to be heard in the UK and the US.

And Megyn Kelly's onto them too

Everything she does is a replication of something someone else has done. It's puzzling too that she seems to be stuck in some kind of early noughties timewarp.....all the stinky merch is so déclassé. I mean we know from her fashion sense that she literally hasn't a clue but it seems to extend to every facet of her life. The irony then of promoting herself as some kind of iconic lifestyle guru that people want to emulate is just......LOL
In my head I'm hearing "She's so lame, she prob'ly thinks this shop is about her..." In my old shop keeper life, many moons ago, one of our treasured suppliers told me that if some Newbie got in touch wanting goods, he would do a drive-by, to see if the place had "the kiss of death". If it did, he wouldn't supply. Hmm. Unless she's got backers with big pockets, this ain't gonna fly.
Of course, sometimes wholesalers would supply goods, and the retailer would just put off paying them, and then do a flit...

If he is very lucky and had a low grade tumor and he had the treatment, there is really no reason why he can't do the trip. I think whatever it was, was what is called an incidental finding. They found it when they went to treat the enlarged prostate. I am surprised that they didn't find it before unless he never had a cystoscopy prior to the prostate procedure.
Yes he could do the trip I guess, but it's a hell of a long haul for a sick old coot, even though he'd be traveling in luxury. I couldn't do it now.
This is a bit off topic, but for some reason I thought that PPOWs were coming down this way (Oz and NZ) this year? Did I dream that up? Cinny or Evangalina will know for sure, sorry for distraction, chums.

How do I spoiler?!

Anyone else think that the ARO logo is just too busy? It's got too many little bits going this way and that. It looks like an AI generated fake crest, whereas a brand needs to be instantly recognisable.

The one with the crown only looks like juicy couture tracksuits.

We keep hearing about how Charles will be doing things but it doesn't mean that he will. Part of this is just PR to assure the public and part of this message is hopeful planning.
I expect he wants to go to Australia although it remains to be seen if he will or of it's postponed.

Oh I love him, and most of his movies! ❤️ Didn't know about this though - he's a much better man than I'd thought him to be!

He's far better an actor than most of his contemporaries, including Akshay Kumar (bah!), who played such underhanded tricks to try to ruin Suniel's career, and is a decent family man and businessman from what I've heard. And even though people troll his daughter (for looking like him 🙄) and himself (for his exaggerated speaking style), he's always been graceful. My only problem with him is his political leanings, but those are kind of understandable in these times.

Thank you for sharing this, WYD! ❤️ There are so many others who quietly do a lot for the community or even help out individuals, and then there are those like Salman Khan who establish charities and show off their "helping hands" to get out of criminal cases - and it works! 🙄 Firmly in the Gruesomes category, those ones.

And they've got the cheek to increase our council tax. Mine's gone up almost 7%
Opposite in Scotland where there has been years and years of Council tax without there have being either little increase or none at all, its having a huge impact here thanks to the SNP, with the decrease of services provided, all you can see is rubbish littering the roads, weeds growing, grass never being cut, road signs, covered in green algae that you can't read, decrease in domestic refuse collection, you can no longer turn up to the dump with big items without an appointment and even then your limited because the dumps are only open 3 days week, there is now unauthorised dumping taking place, council run swimming pools have closed along with libraries, theartres, public hubs, yesterday there was a Police car which went by us with a front headlight bulb broken and back tail light lens too, Police station's being closed, and it goes on and on,

And the bin men are always going on strike!

Brighton is down the road from me it is a huge rubbish dump it is horrible My firnds other half is a street cleaner over there & He says it horrible because the Bin men are on strike they are even torching bin lorries He was saying His job is never ending and a thankless task & the abuse He & His work crew get is just nasty even tho they are nothing to do with the strike

Lots discussed in this thread already. My views.

Charles: Would be difficult and uncomfortable Trooping The Colour as he usually leads sitting on his horse. If he went in a carriage this would be great so that he can still be included. Not sure what to think about him visiting Oz in October. Whilst it's a long flight, and would need to include a stop over, I'm sure he'd be on a plane that has beds so that he can properly relax and sleep. He'd also take medical staff with him. However, this is why I think we need another Britannia so that our royals can travel the world and meet dignitaries easily.

Catherine: Only The Sun reporting that she's been seen visiting the farm shop, and no photos as the pictures used are from previous dates. Good, I'm glad people didn't start getting out their cameras. I'm really pleased she's on the mend, and if she wishes to discuss her op then that's her decision. I hope nobody bullies her into it. Looking forward to seeing her at Easter. 😁

Harry and Meghan: Who?

Countdown for riveting news (if reliable from the BBC):

48 hours

Our council tax has just gone up by £17 a month!!! but our local seaside town (which council area we are in) has been named by the Sunday Times as best place to live in the SE. However, we are in the - forgotten - very rural area.
To keep it on topic, I'm much happier paying 27p a day or whatever it is for the Royals, esp on the grounds it means the Snarkles are fucked!

Our town council was taken over by Labour year before last we are now nearly broke conucil tax has gone up & heres the rub Everyone on benefits no longer pays council tax I am on Benefits & I am furious with this because the town is turning into a tit hole services cut etc

I would happily pay more for the Royals

Sorry for your loss, @Cinnamon.girl ❤️ Look at badass Hayseed being all soft and cuddly for you 😘 (don't try to cuddle him though, I'm sure he's as deceptive as the Pup 😂).

Yes, I think it's a bit of optimistic/reassuring PR, a bit of manifesting, and maybe the prognosis is good.

My grandma was given only three months but she got about four years. Didn't have a lot of treatment due to complications due to other health issues (diabetes and hypertension ruled out any sort of surgery etc), but she managed to go to a couple of places within the country, even travelled to my city a few times for second/third opinions. And this was a woman who didn't go out all that much or was made very comfortable. She might have been okay for longer had she not started stroking out - the decline was rapid from that point on. Friend's mom went into remission, travelled a fair bit and got her younger daughter married off before the cancer came back, we're hopeful that the treatment will work again. Mum's bff's mum has been battling different types of cancer on and off for I think almost 40 years. She's travelled a fair bit and is living in the vacation spot🤞So there's hope.

I have a family friend who recently received a cancer diagnosis followed by a stroke so his treatment keeps getting interrupted. When I went to see him, I made plans for us to go for a photo walk at the local bird sanctuary (we both enjoy photographing birds but have never gone together). The hope is that we will get to go soon 🤞 Gives us both something to look forward to.

Maybe he’ll send the Harkles in his place seeing as they went down so well the last time they visited! (Sarcasm) 😂

personally I just don't get the fuss over them & they are pricey for what they are besides to much faffing around & no doubt like everything else at the moment it would make me ill .

Where I live Morrison's give avocado's away for free most of the time because no one buys them. :ROFLMAO: If they are free I'll have them as I don't mind them mushed-up in a bacon sandwich! Yum. Oh and avocado's are incredibly resource intensive in terms of growing them, so I'm not sure how that fit's in the Meghan's 'enviromental' credentials (I know, she doesn't have any really).
