The Australian PM confirmed on 3rd March that the visit of the Monarch and his wife would include New Zealand, and BP said the travel plans are in early stages. 37 recent articles report this proposed visit.

My question is, if he has cancer x 2 why plan a gruelling tour 7 months down the line? These visits are meticulously organised, cost a lot of money, and who knows how well he will be? BP should have announced in February that with the news of his cancers the October trip would be rescheduled. How will he be whisked away in Brisbane, as we see him going off in his car for treatments here in the UK while others stand in for him?

The Australian visit was planned some time back, and he naturally wants to attend the CHOGM. It's possible his aides advised him to cancel because it looks odd but he said no.

People on this thread have shared their sad experiences. My husband died of prostate cancer not too long ago, and even in the early stages when he was less fragile I'd never have dreamed of flying with him thousands of miles and undertaking a gruelling PR tour. Not that anybody would want to see us.

Very sorry about your husband. Hope you are doing well in the aftermath.

King Charles does not have prostate cancer as far as we know. They have not said what type of cancer he has. Judging by the one a week treatment and his doing well, I am guessing it us more likely to be non-invasive bladder cancer. If he is being treated with weekly intravesical instillations of medication for six weeks, the usual is for the patient to have-re-cystoscopy when the treatment is finished. The patient then has cystoscopy at regular intervals to re-check for possible recurrence.
 
Our council tax has just gone up by £17 a month!!! but our local seaside town (which council area we are in) has been named by the Sunday Times as best place to live in the SE. However, we are in the - forgotten - very rural area.
To keep it on topic, I'm much happier paying 27p a day or whatever it is for the Royals, esp on the grounds it means the Snarkles are fucked!

And considering what a tit show all the political parties are, it's worth it so no one individual has absolute power.

It is on topic. Discussing Invictus and Birmingham and the fact the Council is broke, leads to a broke Council discussion.

I think they just don't want him to catch anything and get sick in general. There are several drugs used for intravesical installation if that is what he is getting and they should not compromise his immune system. These drugs can give the symptoms of bladder spasms dysuria or urinary frequency and he might not want to be out in public if he is experiencing these aftereffects.

Many local authorities are going bankrupt and its not all due to incompetence at the councils. A lot of it is due to cutbacks and yet the government can find money to fund this which is totally unnecessary.

I think those of you domiciled in the UK need to make it clear you’ll not accept INVICTUS over potholes, funds for infrastructure, education etc when it comes to fund allocation. Many councils are peopled by those with an overarching, anti-monarchist, anti-church, happy holidays, let’s have the call to prayer on the hour sentiment. Get writing those letters against Invictus ! Supporting anything Harry could be considered a welcome micro aggression against the RF and a chip away at the system and all that!
 
Looking at the big picture of all the crap being thrown at the Wales, it has occurred to me that someone decided it would be amusing and annoying to basicially take all the nasty gossip about the Harkles and and reflect it back on the Wales. The most obvious is the photoshopping which the Harkles and Meghan in particular have been doing for year. The marriage is in trouble rumors and divorce is imminent stories have been floating around the Harkles for years as well. It's like the Harkle camp saying how do you like it now? We have been listening to this for a long time and now it is your turn. Taking the so-called feud of the brothers and turning it on William as the one at fault because he is nasty and has a bad temper is right out of the look how bad Harry is playbook.

I am more than convinced that this is all being orchestrated by a new PR firm. This is probably the third time I have posted this thought, so forgive me if I am repeating myself lol! Knowing how Meghan wants everything for free, they might even be doing this gratis to lure in new clients if this campaign is successful.

@Fredsnail yes you're right, @Plantagenet too (and thank you ), an enlarged prostate and an unspecified form of cancer. Could be anything, but the assumption that he will be well enough to go on such a marathon trip strikes me as odd and not normal. We have no idea what's going on, but you'd have to be pretty robust to do a long haul extended PR trip at his age even in great health.

Thank you x .....I only mentioned it because I put myself in a his wife's shoes, that I had a genuine reason to post that it seemed odd to me for a supposedly sick man to plan to go all that way. Maybe BP will say something about it, but they can say anything can't they.

Years ago someone we knew was doing 'hospitality' for some allegedly special exclusive events they organised (probably 20 max to feed at a time) - I knew the person was an absolutely awful cook, so was always curious what this 'hospitality' involved. One day I got a photo in the paper of this hallowed event & fell about laughing. A ready-made quiche, pretty standard cocktail sausages, mini sausage rolls, shop-bought coleslaw & potato salad, cold shop-bought pizza...and a few other things along the same lines. Nothing wrong with it if you're doing a quick lunch in your local parish or primary school fundraiser and don't want to cook I suppose - but exclusive and special it certainly wasn't 😂😂😂

(No offence to anybody who dislikes cooking - we all have different talents, but this was advertised as a special event/activity with lunch included, and cost a hefty amount of money...).

Ties in with what I've been saying - that this is a way to prove that Sparry and his Ho were right, and to force William to do the dirty work of gagging the press and public opinion in general. Then the power-grabbers who want this done are happy, Sparry is vindicated, we are silenced and William is a bigger villain than Hitler.

You're absolutely right that this is a coordinated attack. These two slimy ones are quite sneaky - distract us with fluff, and quietly make moves in the background. And they get away with it because they've established themselves as loudmouths who have to announce everything. Sly 🙄
