You know, I think its good that MM ghosted Piers this has been the catalyst for him chasing her down. He I think also has narcissist tendencies just like MM and it takes one to know one I would think. He will not let this go, and neither will she. But he is championing the cause and we all on here have to agree we think MM is only out for what she can get, doesn't care how or who she climbs up and over to reach the prize. Most decent people want to call them out. So I for one am now cheering Piers on!
 
I wonder if the palace aides are tearing their hair out at the capitulation to the stroppy boys and their fancy uniforms. I think it’s a mistake but she is the head of the family and it’s hers to make. It pushes the problem down the road from the funeral but they have to face it somehow. HM is very reactive, never proactive but this does chip away the the authority of the sovereign.

Charles better firm up those plans for a slimmed down monarchy or we might just get rid of the whole thing. Feeling a bit French again - those grown men acting like idiots because of being pampered thier whole lives.

If it wasn’t for the virus she probably would, but US citizens can’t freely travel to the UK (I think) so she will most def need some permit. If only she had become a UK citizen then she can come and go on private jets in the middle of the night.

I think the Navy not wanting Andrew to wear the Admiral uniform would have added another layer. I think the Queen has made the best decision in a very difficult situation.

I liked my father in law and knew him for many years but I didn't need anyone flying in to comfort me when he died, because I was actually busy comforting my husband!

Yes that is good. Mind you people like me who kind of skirt the middle ground don’t really belong in either. 😄. But as I think H&M have made an absolute pigs breakfast of dealing with their issues and their PR, I think this thread probably suits me better.

Im not sure..........I think its a masterstroke to stop everyone wearing a uniform!
At the end of the day, its going to be a massively slimmed down covid funeral to say goodbye and show respect to Prince Philip.

All it does is actually show Andrew and Harry up for being so petty......And denies them to chance to put on their fancy dress outfits!

But i spose it does raise the issue of ''How to deal with Harry and his wife, going forwards!

I have a feeling that Charles and William would be a lot less charitable and forgiving, if the Queen wasnt there! Meghan hasnt got Camilla and Kate onside at all! I am sure Kate will be polite but I cant see her ever forgetting the slights issued to her in the Oprah interview!

If Kates recollections of the squabble about Charlottes bridesmaid dress vary from the Douchness Meg... its a long way back!
 
For heavens sake... Pr Philip only gets one funeral so do it according to HIS wishes and no pampering to massive egos of the living...who should know better than making a fuss at this time.
I am sorry if the Queen really had to say no uniforms will be worn due to her own child and grandchild.... the latter gave up his position himself...
My patience is done... I will be glad when the funeral is over and hope the fussers can live with themselves for spoiling the last event PP will star in.

Actually if women are honest about this being their profession for whatever reasons then that's up to them as as as I'm concerned. It's a job and you can choose to be a sex worker if you want.
In my opinion it should be legalised so that the women providing the service get some protection.

Meghan would never admit to being an escort or yacht girl so its the hypocrisy that most people object to, not the fact that she did it.
 
I am going to be quite shocked tbh if they all wear suits. It says on the Chapel of St George website that Philip's funeral is a ceremonial royal funeral (as was the Queen Mothers) and not a state one as only the Monarch is entitled to. It's a fascinating read all about the history and who is buried there.

Like a lot of the posters on here I too am disappointed that HMTQ has apparently decided no military uniforms to keep the peace and to make sure nobody has their noses put out of joint/distressed and or bruised egos!
But, the way the press is hamming this up it makes Andrew look a complete Dick and by association Harry the same. All the press is saying its because of these 2 tw*unts we are being denied the spectacle we all want and feel PP would have wanted. If all this is to be believed these 2 are going to be reviled for a lot longer both in the RF and outside it.
It may save Harry's blushes but he's been associated with Andrew and by implication Epstein, now that's not very marketable is it?

Harry was right, history repeating it self, the Royals as dumb as ever, lose a little bit of shine there, chip away a little bit here...
Works wonders, even now when the popular Queen reigns, much more damage will be done when Charles ascends.
Two things come out of this:
1.Andrew the scapegoat
2. Or the Yorks are on the Harkles side, slowly inflicting damage over the non working Royals thing.

Give them enough rope.. didn't work on Diana, and it won't work now when the Harkles have so much firepower.

Harkles doing the PR well, they want to forgive, of course if the Royals don't go with it, the spin goes: We, tried thay didn't want peace, dem evil racists.

Don't forget his service in the Air Ambulance, he has worked in many forms of public service. He was really good at it too by all accounts.

Some women choose to be 'sex workers' others are trafficked and held prisoner in bedrooms whilst foreign men who should no better come and go all day. Then there are the poor women who are pimped out for the price of a fix. There is no glamour in it whatever some may say.
