The humour in it, is the way it's been written, eg 'she became a feminist pioneer and trail blazer - a fact surely of interest to woke feminist the Duchess of Sussex' and 'a fact which will surely make the skin of animal lovers Harry and Meghan crawl'.

The whole book sets up Haz as troubled, angry and prone to aggressive outbursts against women.

St Meghan on the other hand is universally beloved, patient, kind and treats her adoring staff and co-workers to 'fun snacks'

The set up couldn't be clearer if you read it.

Its her divorce playbook.

Also can I just add a note of caution about over-interpreting the categories of economic actvity protected by these trademark applications and the like. Its usually done with no intention to make mugs, tea towels and 26 part historical miniseries but to prevent anyone misusing the name by claiming such activities arent protected.

Agree he comes across so badly but again this could play into his favour further down the line if they divorce. It has obviously be written to big up Meghan. If it shows that he’s just another person thrown under the bus by her and that she pushes people into bad places, than they can use that narrative to help him.
 
But surely they will have the "dirt" on her behaviour as well. With that many "suits" & servants around (no wonder they/she didn't want any living in at Frogmore) whose main loyalty is surely to HMQ? Plus the incident with the tea that was thrown at someone (? Australia?), her behaviour towards her father, her family, ex husband/s, staff, guests at weddings & garden parties, old friends. It's surely all on record that she's not all sugar and spice but rotten to the core?

What Im saying is that anything at all is possible. The "wo/men in suits" are very smart operators but the BRF are often very naieve and certainly very unused to behavior like this. Charles hates being disagreed with and is prickly and not really that bright - also he is one suspects underneath quite a nice and soft hearted person.

Within 3 years this woman has elevated her international profile off the scale and entirely seperated Harry from the globally powerful institution into which he was born. She has successfully completely alienated him from his freinds, his family and even his own country. She has done so DESPITE the fact that most people can see right through her! Its breathtaking - what a piece of work. Histories vengeance on the House of Windsor for their mistreatement of Wallis Simpson.

When she arrived in the UK to go hunting she was more or less both unemployed and penniless running a slightly downmarket version of GOOP that, despite what she now claims, was NOT focussed on woke causes but the vulgar promotion of glamour window-shopping. Now she owns and will very probably end up exclusively owning a property of the type occupied by quite significant Hollywood stars. The circumstances surrounding its acquisition - even down to the implausible story about the $10m price reduction are shrouded in mystery, and make no sense. She believes she has leveraged herself into a position where she has usurped Harry's role as a Philanthropreneur and left him a blown husk looking like hell and increasingly publically humiliating both himself and his family; and she believes a future beckons for her as a cross between Oprah and Hilary Clinton - at the very least a Senator.

Anything is possible with people like this, but usually none of it happens. The house of cards collapses and it ends in disaster. The only issue is how many people go down with her. She will of course emmerge at the other end unaccountably wealthy amd quite possibly married to someone else, though not quite welcome in polite society. Becky Sharp meets Myra Hindley. Its an astonishing story and its happening live.

Harry will be long gone and is already being sidelined and set up.

PS What inevitably causes the collapse is MONEY. Theres simply isnt enough money in the world to keep the whole grandiose increasingly insane show on the road.

Been trying to come up with a thread title around folk requiring 16 bathrooms are obviously constantly full of shite, but can't think of anything witty (or should that be crappy) enough at the minute 🤣

It actually shows you loud and clear that he is a product of the family she is describing as being problematic, racist, old fashioned, anti feminism blah blah blah.

I think it plays it to her strong woman thing though, she found him he was great but there was all these shockingly toxic things about him she just had to help him change to become a better person and be able to thrive

It’s also quite pro-William at the end (the interview/article). Interesting 🤔 . He all but says that the biggest part of the falling out was that the Sussexes went public with their plan and their family issues when they shouldn’t have and that William was hurt by that. Quite an about face. Who’s willing to bet Scobie saw this pairs true nature when they decided to distance themselves completely from a book that (I’m sure) he was assured would be sold as an authorized biography and left him high and dry. He’s also saying he wants it to be a more “balanced” perspective. Ha. I’m sure he wishes it had been, in retrospect.
