Is this a case of the show running out of steam?
I think overall yes but I also think it’s hard given they set themselves up for a covid season - what actual plots can they do with that? There’s no big life events, rarely any hook ups, it’s hard to do much drama really. However I’ve missed the Jackson episode (watched the bits I was interested in on YouTube) and I’m a week behind in general and not too bothered about catching up, compared to when it was unmissable.

Aww the end of season 17 episode 10 was quite nice. Hopefully it continues on a positive note for a while after an onslaught of sadness.

Wasn’t all that fussed with the S17 finale.

I guess since the whole series has been rather dramatic they didn’t want to end it on a downer.

I am really struggling to be interested in this current season. I feel like it’s just dragging on. I appreciate that they wanted to highlight COVID but I honestly think it would have been better for them not to have had it as a storyline

I kind of liked that the finale didn't have too much drama and they sort of ended it on a high after a pretty miserable season.

So happy for Jo and wait awaits her with the baby!

I really thought amelia and link were going to be perfect until the end and I think he's the reason I actually started to like her so god knows what she's playing at.

Maggie, Teddy and Owen in the bin please 😴

I didnt mind this season either, and I also liked the season finale. But keep in mind: This was intended to be the series final should ABC have cancelled the show after all (they didnt), so with that in mind I don't feel very confident about the actual series final in a few years if that's how they are writting it.

(then again I reckon they didnt fully intended to write it as a potential series final, just some sort of compromise for the small likehood that it could happen, so there is still that)

I love Amelia and Link together but Link doesn’t listen to Amelia sometimes but she also self sabotages too like she can tell her AA meetings but not him how shes feeling. I was gutted for Link though ☹️

The finale was in some ways underwhelming but I also really liked it too cos it feels like next season they will move on from covid. Completely not fussed by Maggie and found myself ever so slightly warmed to Teddy in this episode given that I normally dislike her

Was soooooo happy for Jo 🥺🥺 and loved the two little features from Jackson and Koracik

Just wish McWidow and Mer would hurry up and get together tbh

Does anyone else here watch station 19 too??

I'd argue the bin isn't far enough... hospital incinerator at the very least.

🙋‍♀️

I've no idea why because there's so much in it that annoys me.

I do!

Love Station 19 but the current series has been a bit meh, again due to covid! only episode that really gripped me was when Ben and Dean were in the water

I love Station 19, i’m so glad I started watching. I agree there’s been parts of this season that haven’t been great but some that have been. I feel like the ending on both that and Greys is setting up to steer away from COVID next season hopefully ✌🏽

i actually enjoyed the season finale, I think they skipped through the year of covid and reaching vaccinations so that season 18 can be less about covid. It was nice to see some happiness aside from Amelia and Linc. I love them together but I do why Amelia is hesitant.

I've binged all of Station 19 in the last two weeks.

It's even cheesier than Greys, definitely feels like a cheap knock off but I deffo have a think for Sullivan...
I haven't seen that but I'm very interested, I've learned it's on Disney plus which is where I'm streaming
Grey's from, at the moment Season12.

Talking of spin off's I'm interested in "Private Practice" and it's claimed this show is on Netflix (UK) can
someone confirm this? If this turns out to be true I could sub to Netflix for 2 months.

It’s not on Netflix! If you find it though let me know 😄

Defo watch Station 19 though, especially if this is the first time you’re watching Grey’s as it crosses over a lot and there’s certainly bits in Greys that don’t give the full story/make sense but would if you watched station 19!
