Gregg Wallace

Even if he is autistic he would have been made aware that he’s acting or saying inappropriate things to be able to manage his own behaviour. Those with autism though struggle with social cues if they are able to understand a ‘rule’ they will usually earnestly follow it rigidly. Gregg’s either never had his behaviour put in check OR he simply ignores and does what he wants as he’s clearly very capable.

Seems he's not bothered

There are a ton of Gegggggg stories today each dipicting Him a sex pest but what I don't understand is why He was still employed after many years the first complaints about Him were made ,

He may or may not be on the spectrem If He is He still must be held accountable but I don't like it when everyone rushes to the papers to sell thier story .

I don't think he's a fake Cockney twit is he? He's an actual Cockney twit? I never really considered him more than that. Given my mum is a cockney she said to me she'd give him a right mouthful if he acted like a twit around her. But I fully except not all women are confident and self-assured and can't stand-up to men like Gregg.

I've always viewed him as one of those blokes with a market stall shouting at women who pass by: "Awight Daarling? Fancy some lovely juicy peaches my love? You look like you've got a nice peach yourself ...nudge-nudge-wink-wink". You know, all that old shite. Like Sid James in a Carry on Film circa 1966. Is that acceptabe in a place of work now? Of course not.

I wrote in another thread that I couldn't believe someone as mature, intelligent, confident, and well-respected as Kirsty Wark couldn't have either pulled him aside and told him to pack it in, or spoken to her line-manager and insisted he reign-in his misogynistic/sexist/creepy bullshit. That makes no sense to me. Maybe she did, who knows.

He's from Peckham which makes him a Londoner but not a real cockney. He's definitely a cock though.

Often in ensuing news stories it can be reported that ‘a friend said….’ or ‘a source said…’ I think it’s necessary that there is evidence, text messages or footage.

I always found GW had good banter on Masterchef and he seemed quite kind.

I found his health kick very overdocumebted but attributed that to him having a younger wife. For sure life is stressful with his son and the nature of his work.

If complaints had been submitted to HR in the BBC and overlooked or glossed over then that’s shite. A complaint needs investigation.

John Torode and GW were never friends just work colleagues so I don’t read too much into that.

I do also wonder if GW is somewhere on the spectrum, that would explain his ‘reading the room’ challenges.

For now he is suspended which is a little late but better than nothing.

I teach autistic kids of 7 and 8 years. They all know and understand what behaviours are expected and unexpected, and that unexpected behaviours make people uncomfortable, so we don't do them. It's not rocket science to get that point across in a way they understand. Neuro divergence is not an excuse for being a pervy twit and making all your interactions centre around what a sexual being you are.

The spectrum? What does that mean?
I suspect if everyone was tested 90% of us would show some traits.
I have worked with people who are mildly autistic ( they make excellent computer programmers and software engineers) and not one of them tools offensive jokes, groped people or walked round naked with a sock on their dick!
Using autism as excuse for his behaviour is insulting!
