I know! I was disagreeing with someone who was calling her a slob!
I like her too. As I’ve previously posted, I really don’t understand the Laura hate on here.
 
I’m shocked that Hermine went home this week I honestly thought she’d win or at least get to the final.

I like Laura, but agree that she probably should have gone weeks ago. It’s just one of those things really, sometimes a contestant scrapes through by the skin of their teeth. It’s the judges who make the decision at the end of the day. Her flavours must really be something as that’s basically what’s kept her in it. I actually like the fact that she’s messy, because that’s how I am too when I bake. She’s hardly a slob,mess can be cleaned up afterwards and aprons can be washed.

Not surprised she’s had horrible comments on her weight especially on twitter. So sad that even a wholesome show like Bake Off, a show that has nothing to do with how someone looks, can bring out the worst in people. I don’t think I could cope with it.
 
I'm a messy Baker and my crafting job i make lots of organised mess 🙈🤣 its just the way I work.

I like Laura, I do think she shouldve gone this week tho, she's not been as consistently good as hermine imo. But I do like her, the hate she gets is nuts the fat comments etc they wouldn't be half as nasty if lottie was the one who had stayed I dont think.

I’ve only just watched this weeks show. Hermine and Laura both had bad weeks. Hermine’s technical looked most like a horn but neither hers or Laura’s tasted good. They both did well on the first challenge. So even Stevens.
Showstopper, neither looked good at all, Hermine had changed her idea the day before and not practiced it! But Laura’s tasted lovely and Hermine’s didn’t! Laura’s were all uniform in size and shape, just the glaze let her down. Hermine’s were collapsing and leaning and tasted badly so yes it was right that Hermine went tho it is a huge shame as she did so well up until now!
I think Dave flourished last night and had really relaxed and gained in confidence which the judges recognised and I think it’s lovely.
Peter is my favourite as his abilities for his age astound me. He was just on cloud 9 I think last night, I don’t think it was arrogance. He’d had a bad week the week before which is so unlike him and he recovered and excelled and I think, as practically perfect said, he was just giddy as a kipper! 😂
 
I’m so sorry if Laura has received abuse from people online. Anyone who engages in that sort of behaviour over a tv show is unhinged. She seems so lovely and other contestants have spoken highly of her but I just don’t agree that she deserves to be in the final. I get what others are saying in that she gets her flavours right but she’s had the same criticism all the way through and hasn’t shown any improvement. I do think nerves as well as the time constraints have something to do with it but it’s every week. The chocolate glaze literally all over her workstation and some on the floor 🤯 - sorry but there’s no need for that level of chaos. I’d feel very hard done by if I was Hermine
 
I don’t mind Laura as a person but it’s true she shouldn’t have made the final. Even if it was based on that last episode alone she still didn’t do well. Feel bad for Hermine as she hardly had a slip up the entire way through

I guess Peter will win. Not massively bothered though because I was set on Hermine winning so not really excited now 😂
 
Sorry I’m late to the party but I am FUMING Hermine got sent home! I know she slipped up this week on a week that had her name all over it. I’m sorry but Laura didn’t deserve to be in the semi final and doesn’t deserve to be in the final. Her finish is messy, she doesn’t complete the technicals now and she’s not in the same league as the others. Hermine is a truly talented baker.

We’ve got 2 to go until we’re caught up, we’ve really enjoyed it! Their personalities really come through!

I am dyspraxic and I honestly wonder if Laura might be too...it would account for the chaos and clumsiness when cooking under pressure.

She has dyspraxia. I seen it on a dyspraxia group I’m in
 
I don't think she's doing herself any favours arguing with people on instagram.
She's coming off as quite aggressive.
