It’s madness to me to go straight to homeschooling. I completely get making the decision is standard schooling isn’t working out, but just to go straight to it seems insane to me. And that’s without factoring in Grace’s attitude

I'm pretty anti-homeschooling anyway - "I know what's best for my child" does not mean you know anything about education, teaching, anything that's changed since your childhood or indeed, what's actually best for your child. I thought a lot of parents got that message thoroughly hammered into them during the lockdowns and were delighted to send their kids back to school when it reopened and yet now it feels like more and more people want to go that route
