Grace Victory #10 Minimalist Mothering, Maximum Camel Toe

I'm seeing this trend a lot from influencers in a bid to be relatable and it would be much more refreshing if it was balanced with things like "I struggle with cooking but always make sure I cook one thing from scratch a week" or "Every day we make sure we spend 30 mins in the garden."

Probably terrible examples (I don't have kids) but I feel like things have flipped from 'only showing the highlights' to 'only showing the lowlights' - life is both!

Yep, sometimes you just have to focus on the little wins. Baby has a chest infection so toddler will probably watch too much TV this afternoon, but we've been to a playgroup and the park today and read lots of books. So if he wants to watch Cars for the 57653th time....I think he'll be ok.

Doesn’t she get bored of posting the self-indulgent pity party posts every single day?

Nobody likes doing the food shop and we could all do with more sleep but normal people just get on with it? Finding joy in the small things and trying not to let the negativity affect the time they spend with their children.

I saw a TikToker post the other week that they regretted ever showing their kids online, and if the kids grew up to not want anything to do with them because of it they’d be within their rights to cut them off. I can’t even imagine how Grace’s two would feel growing up knowing their mother posted continuously about how much she didn’t want to be around them.

She is someone who clearly NEVER should have had kids. Wow.

It is NOT okay to feel this way if you CHOSE to have a husband boyfriend and CHOSE to have kids.

A good parent simply would not post this on the internet (or even feel this way to begin with).

I think most parents feel like this sometimes? Her constant negativity and dislike towards her children isn’t normal though.

All her posts are so negative, she gives of the impression she hates her kids and how they’ve essentially ruined her life as she likes to be lazy. Poor kids don’t stand a chance with her

Exactly. This isn't like an "oh haha I'm so tired" post. Most of her posts are negative like this, and she seems to really mean it.

She should not be vocalizing all of her personal issues all over the internet. She's just being a bad parent (and partner) at this point.

We absolutely DO! And I don’t think it’s bad parenting to want to decompress after being massively overstimulated all day (speaking from this weekend 😂) but in the context of Grace, it is constant, its regret and holding a grudge to Lee and her kids everyday. You just wouldn’t post this. Girl needs to JOURNAL like yesterday

Well be careful what you wish for Grace. We all have those moments. But soon snap out of them. Having healthy, living children is a gift and life can change in a heart beat.

She clearly has PND and instead of wasting her time she needs to get proper treatment.
