Glastonbury 2022 - BBC

Really enjoyed Olivia Rodrigo, probably the highlight for me so far 😁 sour is great, love a complicated cover and Lilly Allen was a welcome addition!

i thought she was great! very charming stage presence and did really well considering she was obviously very overwhelmed.

didn’t watch much yesterday but really enjoyed self esteem, haim and glass animals today. going to watch megan thee stallion instead of sir paul tonight, she always puts on a good show.

Best and worst Glastonbury memories?

Best- Robbie Williams ( circa 1997 😲) . Sun was shining, I was 17, had my whole life ahead of me, had an amazing time with a great bunch of friends. Great memories.

Worst- took drugs solid for 3 days and kinda forgot to eat. Stopped for a huge plate of something at a stall (my last £10) and chucked a load of sauce over it that thought was ketchup but turned out to be some crazy spicy thing. I knew I needed to eat but duck me it was so spicy I thought I wanna gonna die. Would have been ironic if the spicy noodles had killed me and not all the class A’s 😂

Why not considering it’s his song?

I get that 😊.
it’s a weird one because he wrote it and it’s about his wife (at the time) so it’s absolutely HIS song, but i think everyone is just used to liam’s delivery of it.

i actually prefer how noel sings it!

That's it. 😊 I don't get the same vibe when Noel sings it. I like Noel's voice, love Masterplan 😍

Unlike his brother, Noel lacks charisma and doesn't have any stage presence, imo.

agreed! i like noel’s voice way more, but he has negative stage presence. i only watched a small section of his set yesterday but did think it was odd that he seems to look everywhere except the crowd while he’s performing.

i know they hate each other but he and liam just really complimented each other musically.

Spot on!

Is it just me or is the setup of the John peel stage a bit tit. The worst of both worlds of a festival and a theatre setup. The acoustics aren't great. That kind of tent at a festival works when there's a DJ playing that you don't care about, but not when you want to see someone.

yeah the tent stages at festivals are only good for smaller artists which a few hundred people want to check out. I tried to watch Tom Odell at the JP tent one year and unless you’d been there for the artist before him there was no chance of hearing him let alone seeing him.
