Agreed. Plus being cocky even when he gets his arse whooped (like in The Edge) makes him look silly.

Another cringe bit was the part in the dressing room after Duel where one of the Gladiators gave a pep talk to another who'd narrowly won. He said something like "you still got the W!" Calm down, mate. You should win more, given how much more powerful you are.

Watching from last night. I always gauntlet being really difficult and now they do it with ease. Seems like it is wider and the edges aren't as steep.

these gladiators are really poor, its like they are afraid to get tough with the contestants. Especially in gauntlet, they barely even tried to stop them. Also why are the contestants all pally with the gladiators hugging them etc. You would have never seen that in original Gladiators. It ruins it seeing them all friendly ive rewatched the original series on youtube and its much better.
