I'm amazed they went for two white males considering the times ww are in and the bbcs general push for diverse line ups.

White people are massively under-represented on the show, both as Gladiators and contestants. In a country that is 80% white, only 50% of contestants so far, and 50% of Gladiators are white; is that not enough for you?

I love how tense watching the eliminator is. Even a massive head start can not guarantee who will win.

Also love how much the crowd will cheer on the loser to make sure they still get to enjoy that moment of smashing through the paper.

I would imagine health and safety rules out a lot of the old games unfortunately.

I think I read an article where Jet broke her neck in two places on the pyramid, someone else broke their back on the moving podiums one etc so yeah, I agree it's prob H&S.

What was the one called where they fired tennis balls out of guns? Would've liked to have seen that too.

For series 2 I'd like to see a different presenting duo (Bradley is oversaturated and Barney is wooden and awkward). NO Gauntlet (an easy 10). Maybe a bit more variety in games.

I thought last night's girls' eliminator was a cracker. So unexpected!

Yeah it's definitely feeling repetitive now. I appreciate a lot of the old games were probably ruled out over health and safety concerns but they could have invented plenty of new games that would have been within the guidelines.

I agree Viper should go. I don't understand the point of him given he never says anything. He's not even that muscular. Anyone who goes to the gym regularly could pull an over the top angry face and stay silent. Boring. Legend is a knobhead, but at least he's a character you can love to hate.
