I’d rather read an article by Esther Walker titled “Help! I’m married to the world’s biggest wanker” / “Help! My husband lies about being 5 foot 9 when he’s actually 5 foot 6” / “Help! I’m obligated to do an embarrassing Mr and Mrs podcast with my husband as his TV career is over”.

TBF we would all rehash the same old shite at work if we could get away with it. The fault, as you point out, Raquel, lies with the person at the Times who obviously hasn’t been reading it long enough to spot the same old shite when it comes back round again. Or they have a terrible memory.
Esther’s shtick is just ‘I am married to Giles and so now I’m quite spoilt; aren’t I shocking and yet hilarious?’ which is quite tiresome. Same idea as the Sussexes: a kind of one-trick pony.
I guess we’d all flog our one thing to death if that is all we had. But it does make for tiresome reading.

If I was Esther Walker I’d want to drive my hideous husband’s 2002 Ford Fiesta far, far away from him.
