Another typical liberal so-called progressive man being called out by JK Rowling: John Oliver decided to insert himself in the trans women in sport debate by claiming that there are vanishingly few trans girls competing in sports and even if they are, there is no evidence that trans athletes 'post any threat to safety or fairness'.

JK Rowling must be weary of having to fact-check these idiots but as usual, she does so succinctly and articulately as she wonders at these people effectively saying with a straight-face that there isn't enough evidence to show that men and boys are stronger and faster than women and girls.

It seems these liberal types have learnt nothing from the US election. The most effective ad for Trump showed Harris talking about the importance of trans rights and saying that she supported prisoners being given gender-affirming care in prison. The pay-off for the ad was 'Harris is for they/them, President Trump is for you'. Oliver still doesn't get it and makes himself look foolish by pretending that there's nothing wrong with biological men competing against women and taking their prizes. It is no longer a 'vanishingly small' number of trans athletes competing in women's sport, and even if it was only one, it would be one too many.

This man's proportions are most confusing. An ape would have worn that dress more elegantly (and its arm to leg length ratio would probably look more human).

I used to really like Jon Oliver but now he just comes across as a tedious smug know-all who can't consider anything that doesn't fit with his "progressive" views. Not sure if it's him who changed or me (I suspect me)
I love how they're always so sure of themselves. "There's no evidence to show..." When actually there's loads of evidence. Wish I had the self confidence of these people.

Just the very fact that so many straight 'progressive' wokebros feel the need to insert themselves into the trans conversation, tells you that it's a men's rights issue, ultimately. I mean, you never see Jon Oliver/Owen Jones/Alistair Campbell opining on the issues of access to gynaecological care or the gender pay gap do you.

It's also deeply patronising, and very, VERY patriarchal the way they just assume their lofty pronouncements will be welcomed, like "Oh look at all you skilly womens, getting all het up and hysterical about issues you don't truly understand. Take heart, for I, Man, have come to enlighten you out of my manly benevolence and wisdom!"
 
These people can seriously fk off today, I’m not in the mood for it. This woman shared a vulnerable post asking for period advice from, as she put it fellow “females”. This is among the responses she got. I click on the commenter’s profile (yes I get stalky like that) and there’s nothing except a picture of a fist in trans colours. If anyone dissents their comments are removed by mods. How is that “inclusive”?!

I get the inclusivity part of it, if that's their focus, but if i had a question about an aspect of periods, I'd want to hear from women how they deal with it to get some ideas. Someone who identifies as male or masculine nb is likely to have ways of dealing with an issue that isn't for me or not relevant to my situation.

Sometimes when women ask for help from other women, they aren't excluding people for any reason other than they won't be able to help.

Inclusivity isn’t their focus, it’s supposed to be a non-judgemental space to get things off your chest, without criticism. So to me that means not jumping on this poor woman for not conforming to compelled speech and not automatically applying a caveat to pander to trans as though you are on Reddit or something. It’s just another example of TRAs shoehorning their non-existent persecution into other people’s issues and “oh won’t somebody think of the trans/NB/insert fictional category here”.

John Oliver can duck off. One girl losing a race, or a position in a team, to a boy is too many.

Lefty wokebros hate women. On the left you are grouped as oppressors or oppressed. Women in most cultures are oppressed which is evidence that men are oppressors which goes against their high opinions of themselves and so they hate them.

'Inclusivity' is one of those sly words that is part of the TRA gaslighting lexicon, imo. Sounds unobjectionable on the surface but in practice is often used to:

- Preach to, alienate or shame people for wrongthink
- By being so inclusive that it actually alienates the original group it was meant for eg cervix-havers, lesbians
