Yes I can confirm that its really bad for people who now want to live in the EU. I've lived in France for 18 years so it does not affect us, but we have a a couple of friends who own their cottages who want to retire out here and have been slapped with this new ruling of the 90 days.
For one, he is a dual EU national / Brit so he can get around it with a load of manoevres, but the other is struggling to wade through the bloody nightmare this ruling has created when all he wanted to do was retire here to live his life peacefully in the cottage he's owned for ten years.
Yes the EU are being bloody-minded over it as you might expect but seriously, did the UK expect them to just say "Oh its OK! You can leave our group but retain all the privileges you had before! We don't mind you know......................"

I just posted this story in the celebrity thread and then came here. What sort of vile human being appropriates the horror of a tragedy to make it about themselves? The only pictures of the storm she shows are ones where her boat is clearly docked safely in the harbour. I had no feelings about her before, but this is off the scale narcissism and insensitivity from her.

I was in Sicily 8 years ago and went on a short boat trip in the same area!
