I used to think that, but actually I think she's always been insufferable. She did a major mean girl gloat when she shed her baby weight about 4 months after Mia was born. I used to think she was all about fitness and strength rather than skinniness but when I saw the gloat post I started to notice that kind of thing much more. The big thing for me was when someone criticised her about looking too manly. She struck back in her usual charming way by posting a screenshot of the message and made some comment (again) about it being about health and fitness not weight. However she then noticeably lost some bulk over the months that followed.

FWIW I think her currency has always been her looks and as an almost 40 year old mother of two, she struggles with the fact, she's never going to be that bikini clad Loaded pin up girl again. She's sfilll a good looking woman and needs to embrace the change. And whilst she's doing that perhaps stop posting vids of the kids all over the gram.
 
cheesecake is the easiest thing to do ( the non cook one ) fs he has made this look very complicated, it's like a essay haha.

you can tell it's probably the first time he's made it with the amount of stories on it🙄.

My version.

mix icing sugar, cream cheese and double cream ( left out the quantity) , sit on the crushed digestive and butter base.

chill overnight.

Same recipe yet whenever I make it for people I’m asked for the recipe. It’s embarrassing when I write it out for them as to how simple it is

I completely agree with this. She grew up in a time when skinny = sexy, all the "heroin chic" models and super slim "it girls" were in all the papers all the time, when Renée Zelwegger was saying she'd had to pile on the weight to play the "fat" character of Bridget Jones, and Heat magazine were there with their circle of shame to point out any teeny flaws in celebrities' bodies. I'm a couple of years older than Gemma and definitely remember being bombarded in my teenage years with the messages of fat being bad/ugly and skinny being the epitome of beauty. She then went into an industry that is very looks focussed (even now, nobody can accuse Hollyoaks of deciding who's being cast based on acting ability), and went down the road of lads mags and glamour modelling.

I think she's still in that mindset that being thin is more important than anything else.

Has she ever spoken openly about recovering from an ED ?
I strongly suspect back in the day that could of been the case and now it's manifested as 'fitness' in later life which is more acceptable but no less obsessive
It's also been mentioned here a few times that people who knew her back in the day saw her doing coke abroad and think she does seem to have addiction replacing behaviour .

Gemmas speech is pretty poor too, she’s always so exaggerated and sounds like she’s tripping over her teeth half the time. Given that she spends her whole time talking to her kids through a phone then the wee girl doesn’t stand much of a chance.
