I thought his parents would be older, they could only be around 12 year older than Gemma.

I don't think his mum looked happy, and with them never visiting and the language barrier, I don't think that woman will have a bond with the kids..

after seeing his mum, Gemma does look like she's Gorkas mum too, to people that won't know.

Why aren't the couple at Gemma's home even every 6 weeks, just for a few night's, im sure big Gemma would sort the spare room, and built in babysitters.

I'm wondering if Gorkas keeping them at arms length as deep down he's not happy and his parents will know this so best keep them away...I don't think he wanted a second kid either.

Gemma try's to portray a happy family but Gorkas actions ( not going home for weeks, and no wedding date) says otherwise

I wonder if Gorkas dad's had a good old look at Gemma's saucy pics

BIB I'm sure Gorka has said his parents work full time still, but surely they could have made other trips between their own work leave and Mia's school holidays.

I suspect there's a mutual dislike between his parents and Gemma, but if so they should still make something work for the sake of the two bairns.

Gorka posted a story in Spanish the other week responding to comments about why he speaks kinda weirdly on the Spanish show. He responded saying he speaks barely any Spanish in his daily life that he’s gotten rusty. Idk but I don’t think these weekly FaceTimes exist…

I don't speak a second language, but is it usual for someone who is fully bilingual to get "rusty" in their native tongue? I would imagine that he thinks and dreams in Spanish, even if he doesn't speak it a lot.

I know we've all said it before, but it's a massive missed opportunity. If he'd been speaking to Mia in Spanish her whole life, and was already speaking to Trivago, they'd both be effortlessly bilingual, and old Foghorn Leghorn would have picked it up as well, meaning they could all converse with his parents on the weekly facetimes 🤷

My friends mum did say this too that after 30 years over here and hardly any family left she rarely spoke her mother tongue, her children aren’t fluent either so another family with lost opportunities to easily pick up another language.

I worked with somebody years ago whose mother-in-law came to England during the war and didn’t speak it at all once here.

I don’t know why, but I had this image in my head of really old, immobile traditional live out in the woods Spanish parents. Maybe with a headscarf 😂. Not these people who seem fit and well, live a few hours away by plane and have 2 grandkids that don’t know them. The whole thing is just bonkers to me!
Perhaps they’re just arseholes and Little Gorks doesn’t get on with them.

Perhaps little gorks is an hole and they don’t get on with him.

I’m baffled how they forgot the pram when travelling with a baby and small child. When you get off the aircraft, heading for the luggage reclaim to get the buggy would be the first thing you do so that you can put baby down and free up your hands for all the hand luggage and suitcases you’ve got. Mind you, Gemma was probably still feeling awful from her travel sickness, carrying Trivago, making sure Mia doesn’t get lost, grabbing the suitcases, all while Gorks trailed along behind with one hand in his pocket and the other hand browsing his phone.
