Theres no way she was talking to someone in that clip, that sounded like a much older bloke and could have been a video easily. The only thing that makes me wonder is that she'd washed her hair. Maybe an actual therapist?

I thought this 😂😂 also showing us her dominos order of just a pizza as if that’s all she ordered when that’s defo a side box

I think it is fine to dislike where you come from for certain reasons. I’m not mad keen on the small Irish village I am from because it has a lot of people who live for gossip but I can never and really do not want to strip away my Irish-ness. I look for the good in where I am from and I’m proud of my background and my roots.

Gabby clearly had a rough time at school but she doesn’t see much beyond school life and that’s sad for someone of age. I have trauma associated with my school life and bleeping hell it was hard to deal with but I dealt with it, I didn’t write off all of my roots and my cultural background.

Plus the north is having a real resurgence, there is so much going on in the north of England. I’m not from the north (or the U.K.) but I’ve actively chosen to live here and raise my kids in an area populated with:
- hard working roots
- strong political ethics and history
- terrific museums
- beautiful landscapes (we live in Manchester and can be in the Peaks, the Lakes, Yorkshire Dales, NW coast, Welsh mountains in no time)
- amazing galleries
- beautiful architectures
- amazing universities - forging ahead in the sciences in particular
- great indie businesses
- brilliant music scene
- thriving art cultures
- cultural diversity
- incredible food
- bustling and supportive LGBTQ+ communities
- fantastic sports
- specific northern cultural identity and pride which harks back to long having to stand up for northern rights in this country - that feeling and passion drips from the NW, Yorkshire and the NE and it leads to such huge community pride.

If she wants to move back up north to Manchester, she wants to cut out the bollocks about having drained herself of every element of being northern because everyone here will be embarrassed for her.

We live here, it isn’t perfect but bloody hell are we all committed to making the most of living here and not taking bullshit from Tories.

Wtf has she got against the North? I'm from Sheffield myself and I'm actually quite proud to be a Yorkshire lass tbh, and that's after being bullied all the way through school and college for my accent/class... I just don't get it. God's own country is Yorkshire tha knows!
She hates that she's not a posh, petite girl who went to private school in Surrey and that she's got a strong accent and is 'common' compared to the people she looks up to (Tories)

My sister is similar in that sense to Gabby, we are from South Wales and she hates telling people exactly where and it bothers me because you can’t change it, even if there are things about the place you don’t like, you physically can’t change that that’s where you are from, it seems such a waste of time to have so much hatred for things that you literally can’t do anything about

Her comment didn’t even make sense because she still has a very obviously northern accent to me (I’m a southerner who lives in the north west) and unless she somehow rids herself of that accent entirely...it will always be obvious she’s northern. And I agree entirely with @IrishName about the north. If she hates it so much up here then why does she want to move to Manchester?! People here will not take kindly to north-bashing lmao.

She absolutely has a northern accent and tone that she will have to work very hard to get rid of if that's her goal (why though)?

I'm originally from the north and I've lost my accent over the years through a mixture of living in London and abroad (and elocution lessons - not for accent changing at all, but for confidence in speaking for my job as I was a mumbler :ROFLMAO: and in theatre (yes Gob!) it's important to speak clearly (in any accent Gob!) and confidently so I had to do it) and just yesterday a taxi driver literally ARGUED with me because he asked where I was from and would not believe I was in fact from here. This happens loads and taxi drivers try and rip me off by taking me the wrong way until I start directing them, they always ask where I'm from before trying to take me to wherever I'm going via the scenic route. I think not.

It actually makes me annoyed that people think I'm from elsewhere/London because that's not my goal at all. I just speak very RP now and it's completely natural. She doesn't do it naturally, she says some words very strangely because she's trying to conceal her accent. There's nothing wrong with having an accent from anywhere. I am proud to be from where I'm from and consider myself from here and proudly say it to everyone, I will argue with anyone who tells me I'm not from here haha.

I've never been but I know Sheffield has a thriving artistic and theatre industry, she should be ashamed she distances herself so much from it.

Saw this comment from Gabby on Sophie’s Instagram 😂

I can’t imagine not being proud of where I came from. Does she think that being Northern is something to be ashamed of or embarrassed by? I’m Scottish and believe there is some kind of rivalry between the north and south of England (correct me if im wrong, I just see a lot of joke in sitcoms about it)? But still hold your head up high you and remember where you came from you ungrateful wench.

Yeah there absolutely is, or was. I'm not sure if it's eased a little, 10 years ago it wasn't nice to go down south with a northern accent (in my personal experience) in certain circles it was looked down on, snide comments etc.

I'd say to listen to Youtubers with all one accent would be boring as hell and she'd bring more people in to watch if they can relate to someone from somewhere that's not London. This seems rife on YT tbh, Helen Anderson from Norwich puts on a weird ass East London accent (where she's never lived) she sounds like a mixture of Catherine Tate's Lauren character and Dick Van Dyke in Mary Poppins and it's just so off-putting. They're all lacking confidence and living in 2009.

Gabby made the conscious decision to record and include that clip of her talking to her 'friend' and from that clip I can conclude that it was either A) moaning to someone about the delivery being late to further highlight what an inconvenience it was to her. Baring in mind she made several insta stories about it already, tweeted about it and whipped her camera out on THE EXACT SAME DAY to highlight the non-issue or B) she was actually talking to customer service and it didn't fit her narrative for them to pick up so she quickly edited the footage down, obvs still including it as it is a pivotal moment in her life.

The person she was talking to sounds like an older man who is trying very nicely to imply she is making a mountain out of a molehill. Doesn't sound like a friend, who would agree with her that it's rubbish the yewnit didn't arrive but either a therapist or somebody in customer service.

Honestly it was probably one of her managers, she was always calling everyone at her old management her friends. She probably rang tk say she had to push back some brand deal cos her ikea delivery didn’t come so she couldn’t do something for some dumb reason lol

She couldn’t film the deal becosssss she has to sit by the door all day to wait for her ikea shelves. Or she organised some air task person to come and haul her crap up the stairs becossss she’s so weak and had to reschedule or it was the delivery dude explaining why he couldn’t come that day

Going to jump in on here and say I’m a proud northerner and another gods own county member 😂
My parents spent £1000’s on private school and we had to have elocution lessons and I had a cute private school girl accent but I lost it when I changed school and into mainstream education. However I can still ‘talk proper’ when I want to but I rarely do.

I love it in Yorkshire, and I live in a crappy part 😂 but there are some absolutely amazing places, it’s such a massive county. Busy metropolitan centres and tiny rural villages, seaside towns and a hilly or flat landscape depending where you are. How pathetic to just write it off.

In fact I love loads of areas across country, north south, Wales, Ireland, Scotland. She’s just falling back into her typical narrow view stereotypes 🙄 basic wretch she is.
