I noticed that the amount of freebies these dickheads get is ridiculous! They can afford these things themselves!! No wonder they are getting rich they hardly put their hand in their pockets! Freya is one of the slightly less problematic ones but god does she like to shop and encourage her viewers to spend!

"I collect these [acacia wood things]" = I overbuy, and I can't remember what I already have. I just hold them up for camera and then they go on the storage heap in the cellar. Sometimes I buy stuff I already have, silly me. *flicksHair* Kitchen is still not finished but that doesn't stop me from shopping.

But congratulations for branching out and buying blue things now.

Her parents must love the fact they financed her through her A levels etc and now she is just a youtube influencer.... The youtube trend is gonna run dry and then what?? She'll be oni minimum wage as a labourer for one of Tom's construction sites 😂🚧

She wouldn't make it as a labourer in construction she doesn't have the work ethic or the understanding of living in the real world
 
I have been a quiet watcher on this thread, I never intended to comment, I was just curious to see if anyone shared my opinions. I actually really liked Freya’s content for years, but I’ve unfollowed and unsubscribed at last - I just can’t take it any more and need to rant!
At this point, her constant shopping is a problem. The useless plastic tatt she’s buying, and encouraging others to buy, is unbelievably irresponsible. Plastic holders for wax melts?! Plastic cartons for products that are already packaged?! What is she on?!
I just can’t bear to watch the mindless overconsumption of completely useless products any more. It’s not even as it they’re interesting, it’s all beige, white or black crap that’s she’s buying for an ‘aesthetic’ that will be done to death in a year or two, when she’ll start the process all over again.
And in a cost of living crisis? She’s out of touch. It’s tasteless. I’m out!

What did it for me was when she bought identical wooden scoops/spoons from 2 shops just to test which is better? They're wooden spoons, they do the same thing and one won't be better than another!
She even admitted she doesn't need 2, it was just an experiment to compare 2 shops products.

It's the same with Sunbeam Jess. She went to university for four years in Edinburgh, came back to London to do a master's degree, then just does Youtube. Her education must have cost her parents a fortune. If I was her mother I would not be happy.

Imagine her parents getting asked 'so what does Lauren do for work nowadays?' and them saying she shows off Poundland stuff on YouTube under a fake name!

As the child from a military background ( a big military family) people would be embarrassed by it especially being so far removed from real life. The fakeness of it all and the showing off attitude would have not been acceptable but even more so would be the waste that could have gone to charity especially veteran charities
 
Freya explains that the darker shades of beige work better for her skin tone because the lighter shades wash her out. Next thing she raves about a basic shirt dress she bought in said lighter shade that washes her out. :rolleyes:
That navy colour suits her. Maybe try a dark berry next? I think both are better for her complexion than the greens.
Or she could hire a stylist to pick a couple of outfits for her (I've seen other vloggers do it and even when the stylist didn't get them it was quite interesting for them).

She should also watch a few proper fashion bloggers with knowledge in how to describe and critique fashion, or stuff about garment productions, to expand her vocabulary for that sort of thing. I don't think she is bad (she's good with describing colours), but her hauls could have more information than calling basic shirts 'more lux' or 'feels more expensive'.
 
I think it would be interesting also if she visited a colour consultant.
I used to work in a clothing store many moons ago and we had this regular lady come in who had been to come kind of consultant/stylist. She had this fan wheel of colours (bit like what you get for paints) And would always match anything she brought to this fan. Tbh she did look good with it too.

She needs to set herself apart, get ahead of the vloggers rather than copying. I agree with the expanding of knowledge. There all sorts she could do, fashion and home shows etc ...

Anyway back to the acacia wood storage jars it is
