My thoughts when watching that part was how disorganised that kitchen is. The queen of organisation and nothing actually makes sense. I mean, a whole cupboard for just your dinner set? Glasses above the oven? Mugs in a different room? A massive drawer for chopping boards? Wooden egg cups in a cupboard and le cruset style egg cups in the drawer? Ugh. I feel like her whole house is a copy paste of Pinterest without a gram of originality or personality.
 
I've just finished watching Kate Murnane's walk through of her house reconfiguration and small extension. It looks amazing. I could move in tomorrow! Her dad's put a lot of hard work in. Looks like it's taken a lot of effort to get it curated so nicely.
I can't feel the same enthusiasm about Freya's house. It doesn't seem so personal. More like just purchasing for the aesthetic, so a bit soulless.

I have just discovered this girl. I like that she does more affordable down to earth things like Primark and B&M but dear god The. Whole. House. Is. White. Not one bit of colour!! Actually makes me anxious!
 
Too many jumping on this 'affluencer' bandwagon..... Over excitedly blabbering on down the camera, wanting to be cosmetic aesthetically perfect..... Another one on the block who is a primary school teacher by day but dogging youtube the rest of the time while putting school reports on hold....... If anyone can set up a thread for this one 😡
 
She mentioned in her vlog today that her kitchen cabinets were from DIY KITCHENS. I was just watching a video the other day from a project manager who uses them and tested them out against other kitchens like Wren, Magnet, Wickes and Howdens. The DIY ones were the cheapest and good quality. His video was really educational on what to look out for in a good quality kitchen (not always dictated by price). I think my next house will have to be a doer upper so good to know how to save money.
I think Freya's partner is a project manager so may be how he knows which are the best things.
I'll post it here in case anyone is looking for kitchens and needs advice.

I’d definitely recommend DIY kitchens. Her problem is they didn’t use the planner app to design the kitchen which gives you a layout for your builder to work from. It looks like she just used another design from another kitchen company and got DIY kitchens to match the cabinet and they then give you a shopping list. It’s cheaper because they don’t design the kitchen for you.

Ah that's it, her house looks like a private dental surgery. The thumbnail of the video looks like it was taken in one of Freyas room. 😆
 
Personally from a housing developer perspective, (well my partner is and I help him with the business as he does with mine) we would have chosen magnet kitchens having tried and tested the competition the development company now only uses magnet (except for the clients that want bespoke wooden handmade kitchen s in the huge homes with no expense spared of course)... some kitchen companies are dirt cheap for a reason and the quality is often why, but you can get the huge discounts with magnet trade if you are buying enough kitchens regularly along with alot of other benefits. But the discount doesn't appear to affect quality at Magnet like other places.

But that's just our experience on the latest developments.

She is planning on painting one of the rooms (I think the living room?) BLACK! Can't wait to see how that turns out!
