private rent isn’t sustainable tbh
if you have no guarantor then these landlords ask for rent upfront and a deposit! it’s cheeky
but most local authorities have private landlords they use and if they find somewhere suitable then they advise you do that.

for the life of me can not fathom why she moved back to london! everyone knows the london rental market is on its knees. she should be thankful a council even took her on.
she 10000% has more money but she’s being smart about it

Most LA’s have arrangements with landlords such as waiving the rent upfront requirement etc, someone in the LA must act as some sort of guarantor I guess.

She’s said she won’t accept a private rent or a move out of her borough so I can see her landing herself in a right mess. Unless they’re vastly more patient than my local one, her council won’t have patience with her picking and choosing like that.

I know all areas are different but 3 bed council houses/ housing association are hard to find in most areas . If the council give her somewhere suitable it will probably be out of the area she's in and can't decline . How longs the waiting list in London isn't housing really bad 🫣
It’s awful, I live near where people get housed temporarily in a hotel. The whole hotel’s full of families, most of the kids go to my child’s school and lots of them been in there well over a year. The hotel is awful as well, so run down, she disgusts me the way she was acting when she went in that new temporary accommodation, I appreciate she’s been in a hostel but there’s lots of people in worse situations than her…

I just don’t understand this attitude though because she could get permanently housed in a right tit hole area, I don’t know where she is based but I’m in south east London there’s no new build council house stock here so what is she expecting to be housed into?
How long is she looking to wait for council in London I seen somewhere it's really bad no properties in most places

in my old borough for a four bed it was 10+ years.
they just lump all families in temp in one big standard band.
unless you’re prepared to fight with the council and have a tit ton of evidence to help you you’re looking at the lowest band.
if you’re moved up a band the wait in my old borough for a four bed was something like 3-4 years.

from her latest video her new place looks pretty fuckign decent. much more room for the kids and nothing a good clean won’t fix.
imagine all the families stuck in grotty hotels that would die for something like that.

she’s only upset because she’s not somewhat reasonably placed and she knows she can’t use the “one room for five people” as an excuse to be pushed up the queue quicker

I've seen a lot of people being in hotels she's lucky they don't put her in one . I watched council programme few years ago and it was in London and very bad couldnt house anyone then . Feel like she doesn't understand the lengthy process it will be could be 2 years or more .

I agree I was homeless 8 years ago with my daughter and was in a nice flat for 3 months then a mother and baby unit for 9 months was horrible sharing bathroom and kitchen with other women . Was Also a single women's hostel other side of building so much trouble . I don't get her problem

She's the type of person to moan when her council house got no flooring she's not easily pleased . It's more hard work having a council place .

Im in scotland, was in a temporary flat for a few weeks then was giving a permanent flat for my 2 kids 🤷🏽‍♀️ shes asking for something that wont really come to her.. especially as shes a band C so not exactly a priority at all
She was crying because she really thought staying in that hostel room would give her priority and now they've given her a 2bed she knows she's further down the list or won't be moved anytime soon

There's something dodgy going on. I saw her baby dad on Facebook post on one of those home swap pages asking to swap a 3 bedroom in Manchester for the areas of Hertfordshire/NW London.
So why does he still have the house in Manchester ? Why does he want to move near her area?
If he has a 3 bedroom Why are his kids living in a hotel ?
Are they trying to fiddle the system?

Was this recent?
Seems like they are trying to play the system and see who gets a 3bed in London faster

most london boroughs shove anyone in temporary accommodation in standard banding tbh.
she’s going to be waiting a long time

It's standard in the south west of England aswell and I googled it London depending on how many bedrooms 3-4 bedrooms is like 50-70 months 🫣🫨

what kind of situation would she have to be in to get an A banding? my local council as soon as your in homeless your automatically an A banding
Depends sometimes you have to earn a higher band when homeless to see if you will stick it out if that makes sense . If I was homeless now I would just risk it and go private with help of council .

in my old borough having children with sen/disablities doesn’t even qualify you to have an a banding! you can have all the drs letters in the world but they use there own independent medical assessors 🤯 it really depends on each boroughs banding policy

but like i said my old council it was band a if you’re temp accommodation was being demolished , retired council workers , care leavers etc.

she doesnt really seem to care about being in the temp accomodation so shes prob just taking her chances shes going to be offered something decent .I think you can turn one or two down before youre taken off the council list .Prob different for every council,im up north. If it came down to it she would private rent or move back in with family
