Guys, sorry to interrupt but sometimes you just want to vent while wishing everyone well. Sometimes I wonder "what if".
Who here did bet on Kelly being the queen? Honestly I thought Max would be more womanizer or.. focus on winning and breaking records. Born to win yet he lost his heart for f1. Kelly. Racist/mean family (perfect match here), bad baby daddy (Kelly). She didn't groom Max but raised him/taught how to behave. "spent the magical night" (allegedly when he had a gf, what a nice bf) somehow kept him on a leash and magically erased baby daddy from the pics and life. (see young girls? sometimes you can hook up right away. I know nothing) He became a stepfather when he was very young. P. loves him and it's so adorable. Kelly is IG, Max doesn't. I'm surprised that they've been trying so hard and long to get a baby. Kelly obviously wanted to have one with Max asap but I thought Max was a bit in his bro era. Like dudes, parties, silly things. I feel like he lost some transformative years and well F1 records would be ahead of him. I mean for me he's still really young. The talk of retirement.. At first it was weird for me. Now "aha".
I also wonder if he knows what's ahead. Full time daddy, retired SO early. From breaking records to diapers. I wonder how much of influence Kelly had on this. Kelly is more than ready for a baby and is an influencer so she has a job. Fashion weeks, Cannes. I wonder though if she'll miss some cloud of being the queen of the paddock. Max will lose some glow as "normal" Max and be home all the time. No rivalry. Now it's like fairytale ending. Several decades of them just.. happy even after? Of course I hope so. I wonder what they'll have in common. F1 sure, what else.
Having said that congrats.
My "what if" is I wonder what Max would do/accomplish if it wasn't for Kelly. In F1. What choice for a partner/partners. I had the "ick" at the beginning because back then the age gap was more obvious and his brain not truly developed, coupled with daddy's duties. (I might imagine at first he was like a big brother). If I had a wild guess how to seduce Max - she was a good combo of being motherly to him, yet so pretty and sensual, bonded him with her daughter so from young age he had a shared kid.
Kelly, well played. I mean, Max clearly loves you but woman always choses a guy. You chose a target and achieved a goal.

I want to be optimistic always, but part of me thinks it will be hard to beat this season surprise/drama wise, I have high hopes anyway

A fitting send-off for KMag. I will genuinely miss him. I hope he goes full mad Viking this weekend and helps Hulk get his podium.
 
Reyes is giving one of my aunts when someone talks too much to her during family meeting when she cannot move places. But I admit, they are talking, it is not like Sainzs completely ignore her.

Max has won 4 world championships by the age of 27. If he wants to leave and focus on other things - he’s earned that right. Personally, I think it’s nice to see an F1 driver with the understanding that F1 isn’t the entire world - and that there are more important priorities in life.

I think it’s actually pretty insane that a guy like Max gave an older single mum with a very young child even a second look. A lot of men would not want to help raise another man’s child. He’s always done right by them.

Kelly was probably in the right place at the right time to connect properly with Max when she did in 2020. People give her a lot of tit for being older - but I think she’s given Max the stability and love he didn’t get in his childhood. And yeah, that might be a bit Freudian but essentially we’re all out here trying to heal the wounds our parents inflicted on us, however best we can.

Me too. It will feel weird not to see his name on the screen even though he is not the most shown driver to say the least. I will also really miss Valtteri but I think we will be able to follow his adventures whatever he will do next (and I am really curious what)

If Nico gets podium tomorrow this will officially be a season of curses breaking, Sharl in Monaco, someone else than Merc or RB with constructors championships for the first time in 12or 13 years and Nico's first podium 😅

Carlos' story makes me fear the start, he will be going all in I can tell and I am not sure how rational he will be (he looks more dissasociated/absent than emotional this whole weekend, I think he is relieving the moment of learning of no extension)

Yeah, not the biggest fan of Max and obvs Kelly but Max is not stupid, one might like him or not, but he is not stupid and I think in the end he is less naive than some other drivers. I am no fan of Kelly but clearly he is happy with her and Max with Penelope is my favourite Max (after Lestappen). Also he seems to have a very well thought approach to her, to the family situation with Daniil and he also always seemed to be aware how big toll his racing (or Jos' pressure) had on his whole family. I saw a short clip of his interview with Lawrence Baretto I think i when he said you cannot take family time for granted. So I really think his decisions regarding Kelly and kids are thought through (and in case of most other drivers if any wag got pregnant I would not say it with confidence to be honest, except from married ones and Lewis if he dated anyone and Fernando) even though it seems to me they have totally opposite approaches to some things, like privacy and social media for example. So I am not sure if it is the thing for years, but for now it seems it is. Even though I personally suspected and dreamt of slaggy phase and a bit of history like Lewis-long term serious relationship in his twenties and then going unhinged after break up😅

I was wondering if Max’s mum and sister weren’t too happy with the baby news as apparently they found out in Qatar and they were quite cold to each other they seemed to blank her all the time. 😬

I don’t think she’s as far a long as everyone thinks if they’ve only told family and the bump looks pretty small. I would say over 12 weeks but no more than 20 weeks 🤔

I personally don’t think life ends when you become a parent, it usually begins or gets at least more exciting for a lot of people. He can still do what he loves, race, train others, spend time with his family, I think that’s all lovely and the most valuable thing in the world.
Would his F1 career have looked different? Maybe. But I think he’s always been focused on creating a loving family so I think he still would have the exact same priorities in life
Me and Max are only a couple of months apart in age and I would definitely not want kids now, but I think it’s absolutely lovely that he knows what he wants and is creating it for himself :)
I think his life is going to stay just as exciting, even with kids

oh Hannah's gonna be a Red Bull wag next year! In fact THE Red Bull Wag
Kelly will probably be making less appearances with a new kid on the way
but we will see more of this kid than we've seen a Mick, I just know it.

But Hannah hasn't hit me huge cringe yet. she hasn't gone into marketing although i'm fairly sure her physician assistant professional life will have to go on hold because she wont be able to do the clinical portion in the US since they moved to the UK. Unfortunately the health care doesn't translate outside the US

but guess we see how long liam lasts
