Why would a team want to sign Carlos, who doesn’t seem to be overly excited to join them? Honestly I don’t wish it for him, but what a downfall it would be if he would end without a seat as the one who had offers from every team and waited to long
I‘m all for VB at Williams - he might be able to help develop the team further - compared to Estie who seems always to struggle with his team mates (but both are under the same Wolff management still, or?)
Door closing for Sainz at Williams as it reopens talk with other F1 drivers

My exact thoughts about the topic. Now he is waiting too long and it makes his eventual choice look forced. If he decided earlier, it could have been nicely presented, it is what it is, I needed a new team, I am looking forward to the new challenge, new experience etc. He could even back it up by the fact he changed teams in the past and always adapted. Everyone knows that he wished to stay in ferrari, but it would not like he resents the choice, but accepted the fact and moved on.
Now we reached the point when it will look like he will only make a decision because he had to and that he dislikes all options so much he chose lesser evil so to speak. Not a good look for the beginning of the cooperation.
I stand by my initial opinion, someone has been bleeping up all the negotiations and not only now and seems to not be evaluating how it looks.
