I don't blame the refs tbh. Shocking behaviour! Wouldn't be surprised if refs do something like that in this country with all the abuse they get. I can understand teams frustration at decisions but also respect them as a person and their job can be difficult at times. The difference in how footballers treat officials compared to rugby is insane. I know it's a different sport but the way they are taught to respect the ref and the decisions is so much better. It's still sometimes hard to accept those decisions as a player/fan but that's something to grumble at post match etc. No official wants to go on to a pitch in the anticipation they're going to get a beating
