How can Harry actually stay at Spurs? It's obvious the fans hate him.
Fans are fickle; things will will be fine if Kane is scoring. If his form dips, that's when things will get sticky.

If Man City don't go in for Kane now, I'm wondering how a decent move materialises for him without Spurs budging.

And If I were pulling the strings at City, I'm giving up on Kane. The stars aren't aligning. Get Haaland next year, pocket the change and end up with a hungrier player who has 5/6 more of his best years ahead of him.

Catching up now with the various reports today and the ‘exclusive’ Charlie or someone has given the Telegraph it just seems more in City’s hands than Spurs at this exact moment in time, until they put in 150 it’s not happening.

I don’t blame Spurs they wanna make it worth their while and Kane’s price only starts going down from here, he won’t fetch 150 million again this is the big moment.

I hope young footballers look at this situation and think twice about signing ridiculously long contracts purely for big money. Six years is a long time in football and whatever potential Spurs occasionally show, it can only really have been money that got Kane to sign. Now quite rightly caught with his pants down.

thats why I want him to go to City, ups the chance of Utd getting Haaland though still be lots of competition for him

Just can't see Haaland at Man United, although obviously they could potentially weaponise Solskjaer's friendship with Alfie. I sincerely hope NOT.

Yeah, but even if a footballer wants to sign a 6 year long contact then fine whatever but you make sure you get your clause in there so you can get out for a price everyone is happy with and if you have failed to put one in you go back and renegotiate one in that’s possible so i can’t for the life of me understand why they haven’t done that before it came to this.

Harry and his brother have been naive at best and careless at worst over his career, he’s apparently wanted to go for longer than just this year but this was his now or never point.

Hire your brother if you want but does he have all the credentials to do the job? if it’s a no you get someone else or you get a good qualified advisor in to help.

Rio Ferdinand must be a secret plant to undermine the takeover bid of West Ham he backs considering he once again says Man United should buy Rice. How does he think comments like that help the bid he and his brother are meant to be selling to West Ham fans.
As a west ham fan Rio is such a snake... gets involved with a club takeover and says he loves the club and all this crap and then tells DR to go to united? Genuinely can't stand him but I love his brother!!!

He may just be the worst footballer ever. Sadly, he was my generation of footballers and him and the likes of Lampard just put me off completely. I never followed England when they were playing because I could never cheer on people like that.

Agreed. Despite there being some really good players in that era, it was so hard to support England. Whether it was on/off the pitch or a combination or both, there were too many snakes and knob heads.

Even this is still a little tricky as would Spurs have agreed to do this with a fee little less than they currently want? Definitely an option though, and I'm not surprised they didn't do this if they're thick enough to accept a 'gentleman's agreement'.

I agree. They still seem to arrogant and repellent. Really unpleasant. It’s annoying they are still so high profile with their punditry. Even their faces annoy me. They don’t have to open their mouths!

I accept I may be a bit unreasonable but duck me, they look so smug and self satisfied.

That is exactly what they say with the BBC saying he is possibly going to play on Sunday.
through the cup tie doesn’t actually exist anymore but most people think it does.
Being cup tied does exist, but not at this point as he could play in the qualifiers for Spurs and in a group stage for someone else. There are different registration windows now

I wouldn’t be surprised to see the next reports in the press being calls from unnamed players for a some form of independent body to decide player valuations.
There are a million reasons why that couldn't work. There are far too many differences between clubs and leagues.

Also, the Harry Kane deal feels like many other Spurs situations where the player leaves on the last day of the transfer window. The general theory is they do that to prevent getting rinsed in other deals as clubs don't know exactly what money they have from the sale. They did it with Berbatov, Keane, Bale etc in the past.

Through the flaw with that is Spurs never seem to properly manage to replace the players sold - they can’t buy a clear replacement for Kane without it becoming obvious they going to accept an offer.

What are you basing this on please?
Because in what world would that ever work?
A player is an asset and in any business an asset will be worth different amounts to different entities. That is why businesses negotiate over pricing.

Its like an antique, you can have an expert value it but ultimately the seller can decide how much they want to sell for and a buyer will decide how much they are willing to spend.
