I do wonder if that was another reason for Trippier replacing him - not just to shift to defence but because Southgate was thinking Tripper would have been a better option in a penalty shootout had Denmark equalised both skills wise and mental wise than Jack would be.

JG wasn’t up to his usual standard, but also he isn’t a defender in any way, does little off the ball to try to get it back so it made sense at 2-1 up. You’ve got to remember at club level he’s very very used to being passed the ball and doing whatever he wants, the defending/tackling is left to everyone else.

Olivia has always been a very hard faced girl with no morals. Her high school boyfriend used to sleep over (her parents even knew about) when she was just 13! So to be honest I’m really not surprised at over 30 she was club hopping and doing the most to try and meet/bag a footballer. I know her ex bf, very sweet guy. Falling pregnant with a prem player 1 month after she came out of the 5 year relationship with him just confirms what her intentions were.

Tbh I'm pleased he's signed back for Villa but I can't see him getting many games. I think he will be a back up player, a season or two and then he'll retire. Don't get me wrong, he's a Villa legend and I'm sure when he does play he will be great, but can't see him a regular starter.

Wonder if when its City v Villa he won't be selected to avoid any issues.
