I've just read the Beckham judgment (Beckham & Anor v News Group Newspapers Ltd [2005] EWHC 2252 (QB)) and I don't think it does suggest all that, it sounds like you've just read the defendant's case? Am not defending them but it does sounds like you've just repeated what the newspaper wanted to be found, most of that wasn't proven. The newspaper cast their net way too wide in that case IMO which was a shame as us gossips got nothing out of it.
