My online shop over subbed me with feta cheese. I’m so basic that I just crumble it on top of salad but does anyone else use feta for other non salad dishes?
Thinking of you MCM - hope the appointment goes well later in the week.
I tried that and it was disappointingThere's the feta tomato pasta dish that everyone was making during lockdown.

Congrats on both things!!!It's celebration day in the Sideboard household. Sideboard Cat is nine years old today! She's had lots of cuddles and some chicken jerky I found in Pets At Home that she absolutely loved. I also found out today that it looks very much like I'm buying my forever home. We're waiting for them to do the money laundering compliance but I should be paying the £500 deposit this week. The only negative is that it's not going to be built until September. I refuse to believe it's happening until I have the keys in my hand, I simply cannot believe it.

To be honest I’m not keeping up. I thought you booked next week off to do nothing, and the week after for fishing?Congratulations. I love that kitty. It's my one reincarnated.
I'm perplexed today. I've already booked next week off work for my holiday. So my mind is set for holiday. I'm not going till the next week. Everyone at work is 'oh holiday Friday, good luck'
I now want both weeks off as my head is set for off next week . I don't get paid If I'm off . I've been rushing around, getting stuff ready, now I'm deflated a bit.
I've painted myself into a corner, the factory I'm working at won't mind, but I can see the firm I'm subbing too being very tit about it as they have to cover me. I'd like to tell my colleagues I've fucked up it'll be 2 weeks, but I can overthink issues.
Truth or some little white lies ?
Soz probably my brain working overtime. To be honest I’m not keeping up. I thought you booked next week off to do nothing, and the week after for fishing?
Can you enjoy having a week off at home and then a week off with the fishing? Is that so bad?Soz probably my brain working overtime.
I've thought since last October I was going away fishing on the 19th. This Friday. I've rushed around doing stuff, last minute as I love pressure. Booked that week off with work. Told the factory I'm off.
But I'm not, I leave on the 26th.
Compromise and go in til Wednesday?Congratulations. I love that kitty. It's my one reincarnated.

Do you have The week of the 26th booked? If not I’d invent a tale about the guy organising it giving you the wrong date. Offer to take two weeks leave if that’s what they want, but tell them you really need the second week only.Soz probably my brain working overtime.

No I don't. That's my issue. This is a good plan, but my internal clock has been set and I don't think I can go to work next week, 7 months no break,Do you have The week of the 26th booked? Yeah…you’re gonna have to blag the “see you in two weeks….what’dya mean I’ve only got a week booked????”No I don't. That's my issue. This is a good plan, but my internal clock has been set and I don't think I can go to work next week, 7 months no break,
I'm just going to have to blag it.
Just seen this because I have been away (literally, we lost a dear dear friend suddenly and with no warning), so haven't kept up with the threads.Really, ninnies, as long as whatever you do in memory of Pooh helps animals I don't mind. As long as an animal whether it's dogs, cats or bunnies gets a feed or a warm supply of blankets or towels to lie on.
Even if you just hug your own pet or buy them a special treat it would be a small thing that makes a difference to an animal. I'm still a bit skewiff from the shock and sadness, to honest.
Edit, Harold asked me to thank you all for your love and support. It's very appreciated down here at MC Towers.
MCM I was so sorry to hear about Pooh, I've been thinking about you a lot. When I made the decision to euthanise my last elderly cat my anxiety was really triggered and I was wracked with guilt; I obsessed over whether I had made the wrong choice or too late etc. The vet practice sent me a handwritten card with the phrase 'you did the right thing' (for your cat) which was exactly what I needed to hear at that moment.Thank you dear Skronks. I've booked an appointment to speak with my doctor on Friday as I feel like I'm not coping. He's been my GP for coming up to ten years so he's aware of previous MH issues.
I might just need to up my current meds for a few weeks, we'll see.
Just after I posted my last post, I went to the letterbox and found a package from the vet containing a card, a laminated Rainbow Bridge thing and a list of grief counselling numbers and websites. That helped me decide to do something about it, I don't like being like this.
Pocket ninnies are the best, even just writing out my feelings and knowing there are people who genuinely care.
For now, I'm going to lose myself in the Scottish Highlands with the latest JD Kirk book. It landed in my Kindle app this morning and it's proving to be a great distraction so far.
Love you guys.
