The tone of this post really made me cross.

Implicit in his comment was that him going for a health check was somehow ‘levelling up’ to the excellent and continuous care and checks enjoyed by women.

When in fact it’s been proven that it takes women many more appointments to be taken seriously, and if they do visit medics more frequently, it could be SOMETHING to do with maternal care, post natal care, reproductive health, and menopause. All of which are not a walk in the park, and don’t affect men!

Nobody is looking holistically at the health of women. Women are not getting access to health checks like the one his private medical service is giving him here.
Women are gaslighted by medical professionals all the time , and are often seen as 'hysterical and hormonal' and to just put up with their symptoms and illnesses

I've been going to my GP about cluster headaches for almost 15 years, get told to take OTC pain and rest. My brother went ONCE for the same issue and was handed Naproxen, Omeprazole in case the Naproxen hurt his little tummy, and a sick line for work. Absolutely infuriating!

So did his health check turn up any nasties for him?

He had an opportunity to do a post encouraging everyone to attend health checks and screenings available to them, but no, he had to make an inappropriate and unsubstantiated comment about men vs women. So glad he's getting called out on it.

What if a vulnerable woman sees this and thinks "he's right, I've been in & out of the doctors a lot, maybe I'll just miss this routine screening"?

As for the bit at the end where he wants women to tag their "other halves" in his post to remind them to look after themselves, what about his male followers (potentially some 84,000+ people if you take his follower count at face value) who may have a male partner, do they not count?

Or he could encourage everyone to spread the word amongst any men in their lives rather than use it as a pathetic attempt to get more comments.

Oh dear christ, my eyes!!!
I don’t know what’s worse his sickly smug smiling or his faux serious face 🤔

I was thinking exactly this yesterday but couldn't put it down properly! He's so patronising

Edit: Haha whoops I was half way through a thought clearly!
