I've said it before but the pair of them seem fundamentally unable (or unwilling) to see beyond their own tiny world, and they don't relate to or even really acknowledge anything that's different to their own experience.

The tooth mouse post was a good example. If he'd never heard of the mouse, a quick google would have shown him that the mouse is probably at least as popular a tradition around the world as the fairy, maybe more so (also some articles suggest the tooth fairy was derived from a mouse). There's an age-appropriate educational opportunity about countries of the world right there, instead of saying things like "... the one childhood story you don't f**k with is the tooth fairy", "a teacher at school screwed us" and "why do I now have to explain why the teacher is wrong".

Like the vast majority of people in the influencer game, they are heavily reliant on the little worlds they've built within their phone, backed up by the vacuous echo chambers they create around themselves.
 
Here it is, the one where you as a pregnant woman, with literally a whole different body shape, should use it as "a great way to convince your partner you need new threads". Plus other gems like not worrying about trying to hold your tummy in, and a bit of acne-shaming casually thrown in.

Occasionally I wonder why Sly still has representation via Independent Talent? Surely they weren’t needed to negotiate his rechargeable battery deal. Even if they were used for the Compare the Market ad (30 comments and 3000 likes, I’m sure that was worth it to CTM) that’s, what, one real #ad in the last 2 years?

It's odd, isn't it? They clearly aren't getting him much work to speak of, if any. Their submission process seems to indicate they're selective about who they represent. His profile and his photo are very out of date.

Talent agencies normally drop "talent" all the time if they're not in demand, and if they don't even bother to do the bare minimum like updating their headshot/bio/showreel.

How much of that drivel did she actually sell? I can't even begin to think who would find it enjoyable to read or informative in anyway whatsoever. The fact that she is a midwife makes me feel sick.
