Father of Daughters #50 Come on in, don’t be a pavlova!

I saw this and thought it was very funny. To be fair, it is from a French speaking lady, so I don't think she was taking the mick.

This illustrates how much it has upset some people. One of the people wrongly responds thinking her parenting had been judged when the comment had clearly been directed at another parent. The last comment is the only one that person made and it seems really, really nasty.

@Exhaustednurse because he's special? Because he thinks it's really outside because it's a "garden" centre? Because it wouldn't look cool, or be good sound quality, if he wore a mask? Or it was filmed pre 30 November when they became compulsory again in England.

But I'm pleased to note that he has finally learned how to spell 'a lot', though his sentence structure could be improved.

Can’t spell Nemesis though. To be fair, on his history, I’d be astonished if he could.

Question for Parents of 5 year old boys and girls - or ones that have been 5 in the last say 5 years. Did your 5 year olds ask or want Lego? My husband introduced my boys to Lego cos he wanted to build it and play with it at Christmas so they got into it (because he wanted it) from about 7 + but my girl was never interested. I could be completely misremembering this but I don’t think they were interested in Lego that young - pretty sure they were already bored with duplo by then but not gagging for Lego (am now going to look at Christmas photos past) I know it’s not just for boys but I’m really not sure it’s what 5 yo girls want? is Sly trying to get those boys he always wanted?
Going back to this and I hate to be on the side of FOD but my eldest is younger than the twins (just over a year younger I think?) and is massively into Lego but has always been into building stuff eg duplo/mega blocks so progressed to Lego fairly quickly.

We had Lego as kids (my mum still has it all) but can’t pin point the exact age - think I was a bit older, though my sibling is four years older so don’t know if I had it earlier than my peers as a result or not? Or was it simply marketed differently back in the early 90s? My dad loved building it the night before birthdays/Christmas and we’d then be sent on a trail round the house to find it. How we never saw the damn thing hidden in plain with a sheet/pillow case over I’ll never know.

There’s Lego aimed at 4yr olds as the age is on the box - not sure why they bother putting an age though as Little Beds wants all the older (more expensive) stuff!!! But I do love playing with it helping Little Beds build it all.

He isn't even original.

He is an original class A twit though. So he has that going for him.

ETA - Just watched his story about his latest post. Wow, that is one angry man.

I had Sindy. I also had Tressy, whose hair grew when you pushed a button in her back. I still have her, dressed as a fairy. But I also loved playing with my brother's lego if I was allowed. Back in the dark ages it was just grey bases, and white and red bricks, so we built houses. Still have it. Might start playing with it again.
Omg I had a tressy ❤
Also played with my brother's Lego and he must have been 10 and his spirograph
I always wanted a slinky and at the grand old age of 50 bought myself one 😄
The more I see of him and his tone deaf posts the more I think he genuinely is of the opinion that the girls can maturely process things like adults, he never seems to understand they are just children, he is an utter, blinkered idiotic knobster

It was a genuine question, I honestly can’t remember what I went upstairs for these days let alone what my boys had for Christmas 15-20 years ago. I just can’t recall them asking for Lego as 5 y/os but it might have been because they knew they’d be getting some anyway because Mr D got excited and went out and bought it. I suspect he just bought what he would have really wanted when he was too old to have it, there could have been the smaller boxes of stuff, I think I remember a pirate ship one, but the Star Wars stuff mainly the Death Star and that big long legged dog like thing from Star Wars. I love Lego and I loved watching them all at the table late in to Christmas night building these things, it’s a great chill down after an early rise and 5 selection boxes before lunch - good times 😍

No self-reflection or contemplation about where people are coming from then, Simon?
Not a hint of understanding at all, even for the parents who shared why their children would be sensitive.
Just getting in people's faces with your aggression and arrogance.
Is this how you behave towards your wife and daughters when you don't like what they have to say?

I had Barbie, Sindy and Tressy as a youngster in the 60/70's....but my greatest love was Pippa! ( still have several of the dolls/ clothes and furniture and apparently they're now worth a fair bit!)
my daughter's weren't so much into Lego but we all loved Playmobil ( I may have influenced them!).....although did play with the few Lego sets my son had as well as the technical Lego but I think they all found Lego difficult because of their dyspraxia ad manipulating the tinier pieces - see FOD...not all kids are neurotypical....
however bought my 26/yr old daughter the Lego VW camper van kit last Christmas and it's amazing...even has lights - she loved making it
Husband redeveloped his love of Airfix during lockdown and has now completed several airplanes! ...I've bought him the Apollo Saturn V rocket for Christmas and the kids bought him an airbrush set and Concorde for his 60th birthday at the weekend! God knows where we're going to put all thes when they're finished!

Omfg 😱 has anyone seen his passive aggressive story about his Santa call from last night?

Holy tit, it’s not about it being a laugh or people using it or not you twit, you’re an INFLUENCER! Don’t be a dick!
Couldn’t agree more. It’s shocking. Definitely showing his true colours. He pretends to be all silly and fun and light hearted but actually he’s aggressive, arrogant, pompous and rude. Vile man.
