He really is a self absorbed twit with no common sense And an apparent sense of greed. He must actually have quite a lonely life that he puts so much effort into Instagram, I can picture him walking around the house, looking in desperation for inspiration for his interiors account. He knows he’s onto a winner with shots of a bed with cushions - gets women cooing that they, just like Clemmie, love a perfectly made bed and their own partners dislike the cushions too. These Women seem to think they have joined the Hoopers in some sort of an elite club.

When he made his return to Instagram, initially he didn’t feature his daughters, quickly realised no one was interested without them. So in order to try curtail the follower losses, they were featured again very quickly. Though don’t think he has yet realised the appeal of his family is over - the whole going anywhere with four kids has run out of steam as the older girl goes with them less and less. The twins are now older and the cuteness appeal is over and they are too old now for him to be staging shots of them climbing presses, emptying out presses, lying on the path and so on.

You can smell the desperation to get some big paid ad, he tried very hard before Christmas tagging google home with his doorbell/lpress a buttom And switch in/off lamps but looks like (hopefully), nothing came on it. When he was talking about plans for his utility room, he mentioned putting in underfloor heating -,hint, hint. Who actually puts underfloor heating into a utility room when all the other rooms have the standard gas or oil heating/radiators.

I’m sure they are still sent bits from interior companies and publishers, but a far cry from the days of the well paid advertisements and gifted holidays and so on. His days of being featured in the press in a positive way are gone. By next year, his bathrooms will be dated, everyone will have to moved on to the next must have tile or fittings trend, the rest of the house is drab and dull, so not sure where he can take the interiors account.

When their bathrooms do need updating, they won't be able to afford to pay full price to the expensive bespoke companies they used first time.

That will be the same with the kitchen. If he cannot afford new cabinets for a utility room, how will he upgrade the rest of the house when the time comes?

Sorry if anyone has a similar kitchen on here, but when you look on the gram, every bleeping influencer has that same style and colour theme. There is no originality to their home, Glen has literally used Pinterest boards and copied other accounts with similar styles. Then bigs herself up under the guise of Sly on HOH that she has a great eye for detail and interiors. 🙄 Tit.

As for being sent stuff, the only things he has posted about that they were gifted are the tacky Christmas tree ornaments at £5 to £10 each in the sale, and those bags to scoop up toys. Please someone add more if I missed stuff out.

You are spot on, he is always, always on the beg for stuff, and the Google home tech was a massive beg. I dont think they would have signed any big ads, seen as he hasn't flaunted it on the gram!

Because NOBODY else has binge watched shows in lockdown have they Sly 🙄 duck me, what a REAL PROBLEM in a pandemic not to be able to google or ask your actual friends for TV recommendations #tonedeafcuntent

The whole Clemmie-pretending-to-be-Simon is really rather pitiful, she's clearly in charge of the HoH account and just trotting out the same tired old "my wife does this, but I prefer this" stereotyping lines so that she can foist her great talent for all things interior ( ) on the internet world.

Does Clemmie not see how ridiculous this is, and what a poor example it's setting to her children? She hasn't faced up to what happened online or taken any responsibility, and she's back on the 'gram under false pretences. Not really the sort of behaviour you'd want to model for your children, is it? Goodness knows what the grandparents must think of it all, but maybe they've just got the blinkers on. Who knows.

Clemmie could easily have started an interiors account for the house and left their personalities out of it completely which would actually have given her more freedom on the content side, but no, she wanted the crossover and the Hooper name on it, and the trickle of followers from Simon's account.

Sorry, I know the style round here is to call her Glen, but I prefer to hold her accountable under her actual name. Better for the search engines too 😜

I think a lot of influencer houses are really boring and dull or grey! they look so gloomy and depressing - No originality or genuine personal taste or quirks. Same kitchens, same prints with motivational quotes , covering whole walls in different size frames. black framed bathrooms with gold taps
Even the poor kids bedrooms look like a Victorian orphanage what is it with these washed out germoline pink, faded grey and beige kids rooms?
There house was beautiful when they bought it..opposite of what its like now..light bright ..they certainly haven't enhanced it

So, based on what he has published on his instagram accounts he.......wait for it.......does the shopping, cooking, home schooling, general childcare, produces content for instagram, does the DIY, takes the family on long walks, looks after the dogs, trains the puppy, works (paid employment?), AND binge watches hours of TV? It doesn't add up, I mean it LITERALLY doesn't add up.

Also he does not realise that he is in a privileged position. He hasn't complained about computer access for home schooling so presumably his family have enough devices and good internet access. There are children in this country who don't have this access and parents who are worrying that their children are falling behind in their schooling because of it. And don't start me on children in the developing world who have absolutely nothing. Simon Hooper wants to focus on his very peculiar problem of what to binge watch. Try picking up a book and sitting in that reading chair you never use.

His point could have been made in a different way without being offensive.

Then the last picture in the clip is offensive given the effects of the pandemic. People today really do have quite severe emotional issues. Dawson's Creek was an exaggerated drama but for some people today they have one unrelenting crisis after another.

I am beginning to question why I feel the need to challenge Simon Hooper. Would I do anything differently? I don't need social media to earn money or make me feel good about myself, and picking him apart isn't a very nice trait and I dont like how I keep responding to his efforts, BUT he publishes for the attention so I guess he's up for the feedback. And it's a bit like playing 'whack a mole' 😁

@rainbowlemon he's such an entitled excruciating enema 🤬 fskfskfsgh I remember this now! You can picture him with his pain inducing middle class laugh thinking to himself how hilarious it is my kids just lie down on supermarket shelves; with total disregard of others, hygiene, the staff who have to sort out their carnage or just plain rational thinking and respect.
