Unsurprisingly, he’s now fallen to 911k followers

It should be more the fecking twerp. I cannot believe my eyes this morning. I didn't want my parents taking a picture of me for the bloody family photo album never mind for 900k followers. How can you joke about a teenager's eating habits? Restrict what she is eating at home and tell her she is eating too much? The girl is skinny ffs. I am horrified. Then ask his followers for more 'advice' on how to encourage more of him shaming her publicly for what she is eating? JFC.

I agree with this so much. Mine peaked when I was around 16/17. If my parents had behaved like this, it would have destroyed me. I’ve sent him a direct message expressing my frustration at his approach, but I suspect it’s just a matter of time until I get blocked.

I didn't eat any lunch (or snacks, just a can of diet coke) at school for the years of being 14, 15 and 16. I just cannot believe he has done this. I would have been so distressed if my dad had made this kind of joke/followed me round the supermarket if it was JUST ME, never mind so publicly to a huge platform.

And where is Glen?! I presume he runs his ideas for content past her. Why didn’t she stamp her chunky boot down and tell him no bleeping way. Surely she’d understand the risk of eating disorders!
I remember a post where she was posing in a (gifted) swimsuit with a caption that said she didn’t care about her weight anymore and she didn’t want her girls growing up with a mother that is constantly watching the scale. I réalise now it was just another bandwagon for her, body positivity was and is pretty cool. They won’t have a mother that watch the scale but they will have a melt of a dad who rations their snack and Shame them for being hungry. And she lost all her weight since then so I assume their mom might be watching the scale after all. Nothing wrong about any of it except for the bullshit.

This is quite chilling.

This is quite chilling.
I was given £10 a week for my school lunch when I was in secondary school, and it very quickly turned into me not eating lunch every day just so I could pocket the money and have a tenner to keep for the weekend. Thinking back, this is probably behaviour that made my ED seem so normal for so long, because in my head, I was starving myself cause I was being savvy with money and not because I had a crappy relationship with food. If my mum had known this, she would have put an end to it and sent me in with food from home, or extra money - yet here he is actually giving anya these ideas and acting like it’s cool???
I don’t know what bleeping planet he’s on.

Same. He’s a bleeping knob head. He’s damaging those poor girls.

Oh my god. What a horrible thing to do! She’s a grown teenager and isn’t overweight and is active and needs food! So unfair to restrict when they have the money and means to ensure that all the children are fed. I’ve only ever heard of people doing this when they are tight on money and one child eating more than others or when child is morbidly overweight! Horrible man and horrible Glen - she’s a healthcare professional and a woman, surely she knows how damaging this will be. My blood is boiling. Not to mention the fact, he’s boasting about it on Instagram!!! Anything for #content

Trying to talk her out of branded stuff? Do as I say, not do as I do, Mr Hooper.
And middle class stereotype to eat olives? Learned that from you. You even had olives at the twins birthday. So you can afford it when it suits.

Mentioned this on an earlier thread but my comment was followed by some freaking hilarious but unrelated comments which totally changed the convo topic 😂... A little while ago I saw the eldest daughter’s depop account and found it really strange that someone so young would be selling their clothes? Wondering if this was another strange parenting experiment destined for the ‘gram?

It’s just shocking to see he uses that same nasty passive aggressive tone with his children!
‘Sure, whatever’
‘A luxury you can’t afford’

I so wish this was a post and not a story! I hope he’s got grief nonetheless!

Unless it's 900k of bots, surely he will have got a lot of DMs about it? He'll have a busy morning of blocking to crack on with. Time for Glenny to give him his pocket money to balance it back out.

He’s trying to sell it on he’s teaching her the value of money.

You’ve bought them up in a #gifted world so it’s difficult to start that now!

I learnt the value of money when I got my first job earning about £8ka year...first pay packet I bought an expensive suit and shoes and then had v little for the rest of the month. My parents gave an eye roll and lent me money for petrol to get to work but still didn’t get me to buy my own bleeping cucumber!

If my kids want to snack on veg (peppers etd) dipped in houmous or whatever... I encourage it and buy more.

She's bought bread ffs!

If my kids eat ALL the crisps in one day, I shout about it.

She should've been buying, fuzzy juice, chocolate and crisps/popcorn etc for herself - proper crap. Not what she did... This is weird and very upsetting.

I also wondered is he trying to be relevant and relatable with the current free school meals disaster? Food, budgeting, making it last etc. And if so what planet does he live on, because it shows absolutely no understanding, empathy or appreciation of how horrifically challenging daily life is for millions of families at the moment 🤬. If it's trying to have some 'lol's for the gram' (at the expense of his daughter's privacy) cause that's his Instawanker role don't you know, because his huns need his daily fun to cheer them all up then that's an epic fail on a level that even the die-hard fod sycophants must surely get?

This is all so wrong on so many levels,

food shaming his teenager to hundreds of thousands of strangers.
could easily lead to her under-eating.
refusing to allow her eat any food that is bought for the family, outside of three meals a day.
brings her shopping to buy a large supply of snacks in one go which could easily encourage binge eating (a lot of what she bought was full of sugar).
giving her £10 a week to spend on ‘snacks’ - when a lot of families wouldn’t have that amount to spend on snacks for the entire family for a week.
for some families - one packet of biscuits a week is a treat - he allowed his daughter to buy two packets for herself.

The bullshit of it saying it can’t go on - not sure if he’s referring to cost or the inconvenience of keeping a supply of food in the house. If it’s cost, he’d want to get his priorities right - I know I wouldn’t be getting a painter in to spend two weeks painting a staircase if I couldn’t afford to feed my family.

If it’s the inconvenience, well he was standing at the checkout with a with lump of meat in his hand, so he was going to the supermarket anyway.

I’m here with my teenagers remote learning, they’ve just come into the kitchen on their ‘break’ - can’t imagine telling them to stay away from my presses and go to their box in the pantry and eat their own food. I have no objection to my teens eating a small bread-roll each, a packet of strawberries between them and I think they opened a packet of biscuits and had one each.

"Here's £10 for you to buy snacks, but I'll be following you around, commenting on your choices, and posting a photo of whatever you buy for everyone to see and judge."

Wow.
And not just that, tipping a bag of good food onto the floor for is all to see. Happy to pay for the hair-dye and ear piercings he mentioned she’s into on a recent comment on a post but not to buy her food.
