Long time lurker here, first posting. What has driven me to finally put “pen to paper” is what she does to those dogs. The first couple of minutes of yesterday’s vlog were just disgusting. What is she doing? I have had pets my whole life and I know that dogs are dogs. They are not cute cuddly toys to be smothered with kisses in that way. I am just utterly repulsed by how she treats them. She also seems quite proud of the fact that they have separation anxiety when they are not with her. It’s just gross.

just watched the video. All that I remember is that the mac and cheese looked great, I thought at the beginning she said they were in a corn field - looked like wheat to me, and that they have love real estate commissions in the UK (5-6 % is normal here - lol)

oh and one more thing - she bought the Caroline H book - she goes on morning shows like Good morning Britain if you do not know her. But she through Josie is stating to use multiple serums - except we have dermatologists say not to (and they went to school for many many many years) so I feel as though Josie sprouts this stuff to her viewers that is not true but keeps her in beauty company sponsorship's good graces.
 
GOD I feel for Charlie, You can just see how she treats him - makes him take her pictures, doesn't even look directly at him when speaking to him (Superiority Complex) and then proceeds to call him a plonker after he starts talking about his passion for the house... I mean what the f***

His smile after that plonker comment kinda hurt me to see a bit

You can also see how when he starts talking his body language closes up a bit and he crosses his arms and diverts it back to Josie..

And just the ending it's like let the man speak and talk about this - this is YOUR home together.

I like pink and green together; they are on opposite ends of the color wheel so it's a common combination. You see pink-and-green on everything from old Limoges to new Lilly Pulitzer. I'm not sure about the master bedroom headboard material with the other materials, but I think the color on her camera must be misrepresenting them (or my screen is). I actually quite like a lot of the fabrics she's picking out - I like her clothes too and it's very much all of a piece. Her taste is nothing like mine, but it's enjoyable to watch anyway because it's cohesive and appealing. But scaling up one's wardrobe preferences to design an entire mansion - it doesn't quite work that way, because a building isn't a blank canvas, and a mismatched "accessory" like gold paint can't be easily taken off again; and scale matters, eg, a teeny modern crystal chandelier looks cute in a small modern boudoir, but positively goofy in a massive, blond-wood Tudor-eque staircase.

When you move into a totally new space, you have to live in it a while to be able to make thoughtful decisions, unless you're a professional interior designer who knows rules of thumb - like "don't pick a rug too small for a room" - which I might add just happened in the attic room, but whatevs. I rather liked Charlie's idea for the wallpaper on that one wall and could totally picture what he meant - he was talking about incorporating Josie's taste but she got hung up on the words "palm trees." Anyway blah blah... I guess I do indeed take "inspiration" from her, even if it's opposite lessons like "be patient" "don't overdo" and "a building is not a blank canvas even though a body can be." I hope she'll take the advice being honestly offered her about the house, hire a designer for a few hours, or just watch Lisa Holt or Julie Khuu or House of Valentina - they all offer the same good advice in 30 minute segments! Don't try to make every single room a copy of your wardrobe; don't rush it for the sake of getting more clicks. Be content with 484k subscribers and maybe just focus on quality instead of quantity, and see where it takes you.
 
Also her and her effing digressions i mean is that word of the week or something?

Secondly, the Gifting spiel, no one wants to have to ask if something is gifted and that goes against the purpose of disclosure. At the end of the day her viewers NEED to know if what they're watching is gifted/sponsored or PR. then and only then can they as viewers and customers decide to make the choice of whether to buy whatever product is being showed to them, it's very deceiving to play this game of "it's a testament to you"

And there are strings attached to her receiving gifts as she herself said, of course she wants to nurture those brand relationships by maybe one or two times she will mention the product for free from gifting and then the brand will look to forming a partnership or a deal with her channel which then of course there needs to be 100% transparency.

At least LEM is 100% transparent about what she is talking about.

As an influencer your basic vocab should just be GIFTED/PR/SPON/AD - not I was sent or, I received a delivery, it was in my vloggermail. it should just be B&W

She is constantly belittling him, always pointing out how she can easily manipulate him. : "oh I can make him want fries, I suggested it in the morning and by the end of the days he wants them too. I do it with other things too". Even if this is true, it is not something to boast about publicly because it makes him look like a puppet.
I remember in one of her first vlogs in the new house, she was in front of the "antique " boudoir closet in the bathroom and was styling it. She mentioned that Charlie wanted to put his stuff there too but she didn't want that because it was not of the aesthetic she wanted.She then said that she has to find a way to make him forget it.😔 I have to admit, I felt really sad for Charlie. I know we speculate (after her hints) that she paid for the house but he is her partner and must have the same rights in their household.

I don't even want to think about how she makes him forget....but maybe she takes her teeth out!

Probably nothing! I have a great friend who plays rugby, and also has the most beautiful garden and makes the best roasts ever...he's a hero amongst his team 🤣 Charlie is really beginning to grow on me. His know-it-all ways can seem a bit patronising and irritating but I genuinely think he is excited about the house and all its potential!

In other news, I am yet to brave today's vlog...can I bear it today?!

Are we surprised?! The minute someone calls her out on something (which is true!!) she immediately covers her tracks. As if deleting a comment like that doesn't look at all dodgy too - surely people will notice her doing this?! Why does she keep fibbing about ads? There is absolutely no reason for her to lie - why can't she just be honest and say that the house is costing a fortune and her youtube is her main source of income so she does need to have ads in her videos, for the revenue...

He's actually coming across well in the latest vids. You can tell he's genuinely excited about the house and garden plans - even in today's vid, counting all the fireplaces, bless him, while she rolls her eyes.

It was her tweets that were racist and how she has handled the entire BLM.

The way she carries on makes me wonder if everything is ok with her. She seems to be fighting some violent internal battles all the time.
