Family of Nomads

It’s all blowing up in the insta comments re the plexiglass on the rats’ cage walls! People are pointing out the danger and cruelty of this move, so it’ll be interesting to see the reactions.

i've been following their "adventures" for quite some time and i'm so glad i'm not the only one who takes fault in what they're doing. as a high-school senior who does online school, whatever curriculum they're using isn't reliable. i personally use the state's version of connections academy (as far as i know, every state has one). it entails field trips, online classes with actual teachers, one-on-ones with said teachers, various opportunities to make friends, school dances, etc. whatever school they're using definitely doesn't give off the "classic" school feel. in one of their videos, they showed off all of their RV friends. however, this doesn't seem like lasting or meaningful connections. if my mother told me to go play with the neighbors i'd do it, but my heart wouldn't be in it. they're already on the lowest tier of content for being family vloggers, but to add "van life" to the list of things. unbelievable. on top of that, the mother (unsure of her name) absolutely cannot take criticism. i saw her go after someone giving her advice on addison's rats. like i get it, criticism sucks. at the same time, when you vlog your entire life and your unorthodox methods, somebody somewhere is going to have something to say. the whole situation with addison is incredibly sad. i can't imagine them getting proper care on the road. you're going to tell me that if the child has a problem they're unable to go to their primary physician because they're halfway across the country? i get if it's urgent, go to the ER, but it's also important to maintain some normalcy when it comes to primary health providers.

Did anyone see that Addison was diagnosed with autism and has started appearing on social media again? I’m glad she has a diagnosis, hopefully the parents are taking her issues seriously this time and not sweeping it under the rug like they did with the eating disorder or blaming it all on PANs

Something about the mum’s birthday post for Addison rubbed me up the wrong way. “We’ve kind of been growing up together”… no! Don’t abdicate responsibility. She makes them sound like pals and equals, when Addison was a helpless little baby who deserved a fully adult mother. Addison had NO choices in what’s happened in the last fifteen years. When her mum has married, gone nomadic, had more kids etc.

From the little videos I see of them, those children are not happy
