No, she was away travelling but had come back to Ireland in January to surprise Damien for his birthday but didn't tell anybody. We learn all this through the police investigation. A body was found a few weeks ago and that is how it all started. Damien or the brother hadn't spoke to her since Christmas day and often wentong periods without talking so they didn't miss her. Laura's bag was found near the body in bushes with her phone and passport. They got Damiens DNA and confirmed it was Laura.
