Exclusive Esteban interview in the pré race Canal+ show. The decision of not doing the race in Abu Dhabi was taken on Sunday morning. He had to because Alpine wouldn't have let him do the tests after the race with Haas. He is sad that it end this way after 5 years in the team.
He is already in contact with his engineer at Haas and is excited to move on.
I am a bit disappointed, there was not much gossip in it

I think it is possible but will also depend on how well Ollie will do. I think he is the next ferrari academy driver the scuderia will want in their team.

i can’t see past ollie tbh - they’re putting so much work in with him, that seat is his once lewis goes (and i feel like lewis himself would push for it).

And I feel he will get an amazing Ferrari send off compared to the Mercedes shit show (or they do it in private in a proper way but it feels there are still some feelings from the top because of the unexpected decision - which basically is the same as Nico did in a way )

One last great race - really hoping for Haas & VB to score big points and think McLaren in honesty deserves the title if we look back where they started in 2023 and it’s soo great to see a old f1 team back after so many years between Mercedes & Red Bull

also what a downfall for those two/ moving to the smaller 3/4 paddock suites & garages
