Exclusive Esteban interview in the pré race Canal+ show. The decision of not doing the race in Abu Dhabi was taken on Sunday morning. He had to because Alpine wouldn't have let him do the tests after the race with Haas. He is sad that it end this way after 5 years in the team.
He is already in contact with his engineer at Haas and is excited to move on.
I am a bit disappointed, there was not much gossip in it 😂

When Lewis retires, Carlos is coming back to Ferrari, I see it as possibility

i can’t see past ollie tbh - they’re putting so much work in with him, that seat is his once lewis goes (and i feel like lewis himself would push for it).

Ouch, Valtteri is not holding back now that he is leaving 😬

i appreciate the honesty but DAMN 🙃 “this is as fast as she goes” indeed 🤣

i would like more drivers to be this honest though. like how does carlos truly feel about leaving mclaren? does daniel think leaving rb was a mistake? i must know.

I know last year was boring when no one moved teams or anything but jeez the emotions everywhere today!!! When Lewis actually retires it’s going to be a hell of a day

And I feel he will get an amazing Ferrari send off compared to the Mercedes shit show (or they do it in private in a proper way but it feels there are still some feelings from the top because of the unexpected decision - which basically is the same as Nico did in a way 🥺)

One last great race - really hoping for Haas & VB to score big points and think McLaren in honesty deserves the title if we look back where they started in 2023 and it’s soo great to see a old f1 team back after so many years between Mercedes & Red Bull

also what a downfall for those two/ moving to the smaller 3/4 paddock suites & garages 🥳

Did Christian tell Martin on the grid they were sitting down next week to discuss Checo’s seat? I didn’t hear what he said they were discussing!
