I mean it looks sus as duck but if that's the case I get it, just it almost looked orchestrated like the "some cars can pass the SC" in 2021
Car was still stranded a few feet from the track and I don't like it but he was moving for a brief moment I guess, difficult one.

Yeah I think because he was still moving a bit they were waiting to see if he could get it closer to the barrier so they wouldn’t have to go for a VSC but then he couldn’t so they put it out

I dunno I really need to come of social media after a race because the Lando hate is absolutely wild

I think I saw they pulled it as soon as Hulk got out of the car cos he was by the track and then they have to keep it till the car is cleared....


Yeh Lando is the only driver ever to benefit from team orders!!

I am sure I recall them driving past a recovery vehicle even this season! Sometimes they are painfully slow to activate VSC or even full SC, I think the papaya swap was just incidental as they were planning on the last lap to swap.

I agree. Only solution is to have 1 driver each instead of 2!

But as Ferrari proved, even if you ban team orders, they are still gonna happen. And are always tit.

The ONLY time team orders are good are when they cause some sort of massive drama in the aftermath but Oscar is not fiesty enough

Oh absolutely it's not what anyone wants, but you gotta accept it when points mean prizes (in terms of WDC and constructors standings for next year's money)...like it sucks, but I would be giving the team orders exactly the same if I was team boss.

Hopefully someone will have a proper look at the VSC stuff to show chain of events. But F1 has countless incidences of VSC and safety car not being called quick enough. I would assume that they would not want to have a VSC or SC at the end of a sprint if they could possibly avoid it, so the delay would be for 'the overall spectacle' if you will. Which hey, folks who might now be chatting conspiracy maybe have some short memories about that kind of reasoning from the FIA/stewards making for bad decisions.

Maybe I'd feel bad if it was at the expense of another driver, but in lieu of there being people in charge of the race direction who aren't numpties, am I bothered that Max and RBR might just be getting some karma...

I just want the title fight to be close, preferably both WDC and constructors, and given how the season started, the only way we get that is team orders if they are needed. Lando really needs to get pole in main quali, or at least to be ahead of Oscar to try and put some of the nonsense to bed.

Also I'm not sure people can complain about team orders this late in the year when its been clear McLaren have been desperate not to use them. I think using them in the first third of the season stinks even more. Although if they had used them earlier they may have actually been worth it!!
