Tbf it’s a completely different profession to Nursing and will therefore be held to different standards and accountability when it comes to registration. Plus she is part of a different Health Board/area which will probably have different rules. Her being in the “public eye” (used loosely lol) opens her up to more liabilities for the NHS and her profession in terms of complaints. There are 100% people out there who would complain about her out partying or going on a night out for example if she posted about that.

I wouldn’t say they’re completely different professions, I work alongside both in ED who do the same role. Registered nurses are governed by the NMC who have strong regulations about upholding the values of the profession, in my experience the NMC are much stricter than the HCPC who govern paramedics so that’s why I’m surprised Rachel returned without issue whereas Paige hasn’t.

Do you reckon it might have to do with the popularity of the series at the time, though? Rachel’s series was before it went absolutely mental and I don’t think she had much of a social media presence either.

An ED nurse might do some similar therapeutic interventions but yeh. Oh believe me I know all about NMC standards have you read some of their hearings on their website?! Some of them are wild! I know where you’re coming from though. Might be because Paige is based in Wales too? Their local ambulance teams might be a bit stricter on hiring

yeah definitely, it was before it really took and they all become insta wannabes, the earlier series were soooo much better!!

Yeah I’ve actually been involved in an NMC hearing for one of my team a few years ago, but yeah some of the things that go through are crazy!

I think she said it was about the pictures she posts on instagram? So perhaps not just her going on LI

Rachel was so early on, the show was way less popular than now and I definitely feel she was less of a big player in the game than paige was. She might not have been allowed back if she was on the show today

It is a shame though, I think Dr Alex got the support of his work before he went on and checked he would still be able to work as a Dr. Maybe paige didn't do that?

I personally don’t think she posts anything inappropriate, but I can understand that it might come across like that for service users/the NHS as her employer. 2 examples…

Lmao , I remember that. That screenshot doesn’t even do it justice - it was all boobs, the lowest cut top ever. And all her colleagues were dressed as paramedics, and Paige and her boobs were just strolling around the place. It was interesting attire to wear.

There are definitely some posts of her in lingerie…and who can forget the love honey reel when she presses her nipples with her fingers. I think it’s probs more those posts that they’ve a problem with….if I had to guess.
